"hey old man" i said

"you know, my grandson disappeared five years ago, the world had already prepared for your arrival" axel said

"so i'm to care for it while i wait for her" axel asked he knew full well what was happening he was in constant contact with Dr. franxx

"sorry old man for putting this on you" i said

"i would do anything for my family you know that, and i was smart, i already have the spec-2's board built for if and when that time comes i intend to give it to her as well, and i'll tell the idiot not to use it until the time comes hopefully the idiot gets the point" axel said

"somehow i doubt it" i said

"i built a spar for the damn thing so i don't need to worry to to much but i'd prefer the spar remain that way and simply collect dust, i could ship it off to tresor labs, and tell them to care for it, maybe i'll build a third one and do that, yeah that's what i'll do best to be prepared for every eventuality" axel said as he waved off his grandson to get to work i shook my head at the old man before reboarding N01 and taking flight

where he eventually found what he was looking for the swan which opened it's catapult immediately upon seeing the winged unit they recognized their adoptive sons primary unit

i climbed out and jumped down

"shinji" charles said warmly

"welcome home son" ray agrees

"this isn't my home, kaa-san" i said with a chuckle hearing that the both of them were shocked he had never called them mom or dad

"what should i not greet my parents properly" i asked as the two of the captured him in a bone crushing hug

"so how many changes have you made" charles asked

"less then you may have realised i intended to save the vodarac city but arrived to late and was just able to save a small group, but i was able to get maurice, maeter, and linck before eureka took them in because she has no idea how to be a mother" i said

"and what of holland and eureka" charles asked

"do you think i'm gonna kill them, nirvash asked me to do this to help eureka, and that is what i'm doing" i said

"you want us to come with you" charles asked i nodded

"if only to take care of maurice maeter and linck while i deal with holland because i bet you he will call for me, eventually" i said charles laughed and rei giggled

"we'll come son count on it, we won't make the same mistake twice" charles said i smiled

"thank you, i don't really want to see either of you die again" i said

"we'll land the swan somewhere then, come with you to your gekko, i assume that is the ship your using" ray said

"of course, though heavily modified and upgraded, even if it doesn't appear that way, the neo-gekko is a force to be reckoned with all on it's own" i said

they soon found a landing zone, and asked a family to look after the ship ironically, it was with the baxter family whom renton remembers fondly

"ren......ton" martha said

"hello martha, take care of the swan for us would you" i asked william he nodded

"of course" the man said as i boarded the N01, and ray and charles boarded their respective spearheads before returning to the neo-gekko
