Part 3. Training Results

A year later

Taiyou's hair grew slightly below his neck.He grew a inch taller making him 5"8.His uncle stood across from him with his arms folded."Let's see how far you've progressed nephew."

Taiyou grinned and got into his signature fighting stance.Jeet Kune Do. JKD is a form of Chinese Kung Fu, yet without form. Unlike more traditional martial arts, Jeet Kune Do is not fixed or patterned, and is a philosophy with guiding thoughts.

Yuriko and her Mother sat on the sidelines watching with focused looks but Yuriko having a little more of a worried look.

Taiyou stayed in his stance as he thought back to a year ago.

Flashback

Taiyou was kneeled down as he held his now bleeding knuckles.In front of him was a large blouder with scuffed blood marks on it."Again."Taiyou looked up to his uncle who stood on top of the giant rock.'Dammit'Taiyou thought to himself standing up again.Blood dripped from his knuckles he balled up his hands as he looked to the necklace around his neck.'I won't forget about her..I WON'T!!"The blue aura surrounded Taiyou's right hand.Chonan's eyes grew wide before he quickly jumped off the rock.Taiyou reared his fist back and smashed it against the rock.
The rock literally exploded as tiny peices of it flew everywhere.

Flashback End

Taiyou looked to his hands that were bandaged all the way up to his forearm."BEGIN!!"Taiyou quickly snapped out of it before he had to quickyly duck a high kick from Chonan.

Taiyou rolled to get distance.Once he shot himself up he caught sight of Chonan charging at him.Taiyou didn't think to power his hit so he the a quick punch.Chonan moved to the side dodging the punch.Chonan sent a side kick to Taiyou's stomach sending the boy flying a few feet back.Taiyou slid across the ground but flipped backwards stopping himself.

Yuriko sat on the sidelines wishing her younger cousin luck.Her mother sat next to her hoping her husband didn't work her nephew to hard.

Taiyou jumped and spinned in the air then sent a sharp kick while adding Drive into it.Chonan blocked it but still slid back from the Drive enhanced kick.

Taiyou landed on his feet and charged and threw a heavy punch to his uncles stomach.Chonan felt the punch and stumbled back holding the area.Taiyou sprinted foward to continue his combo,he dropped down and slid along the grass and tripped Chonan.

Yuriko,Hiriko,and Chonan were all surprised by the action.Especially Chonan sense he was the one going face first into the ground.

Chonan quickly caught himself by putting his hands out in front of him.
Chonan used his hand to hold himself up as he used both his legs to kick Taiyou in the chest making the boy fly back and hit the ground also which helped Chonan roll forward into a stance.

Taiyou placed his hands onto the ground and pushed up back flipping into another fighting position.

They both dashed forward but....

DING

"Dinner Time!"Hiriko yelled.

Both fighters fell face first at the women's timing.

"That's your wife"Taiyou said with a deadpan look to his uncle."Shut up and come on"

They both stood up and walked over to the girls.Yuriko stood up and smiled at her cousin."That was great Taiyou"

Taiyou smiled in a goofy manner and scratched the back his head."Thanks Yuriko."

Chonan walked up to Taiyou and placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled at him."You've progressed in 1 and a half year,I'm proud of you Taiyou"

"Thanks uncle"

"Master Taiyou,Morika has readied a bath for you."Said the servant as she waited at the door for him.

"She usually won't take no for an answer so you might as well go."Chonan said making Taiyou sigh."Fine,Thanks Morika"

All she did was smile and walk back into the house.Taiyou walked in behind her dusting himself off.Chonan stayed outside with his arms folded and a smile on his face.
