Kagami Taiga x Reader {1}

If there was one thing (First Name) (Surname) hated the most, it would be basketball. Don't get me wrong, she had nothing against the sport itself, but why does it have to be so hard?
"Damn it..." (Name) mumbled to herself, again missing the hoop of the outdoor basketball court near Seirin High School. The only real reason (Name) was even doing this was to impress Kagami Taiga, the ace of the Seirin Basketball Team.
Once again, the (height) foot girl picked up the ball and tried to copy the way she has seen the boys shoot many times, although no matter how hard she seemed to try that stupid ball never went threw the stupid hoop. With a growl of frustration, (Name) went to get the ball and walked over to a bench nearby.
"Stupid ball...Stupid hoop...Stupid sport" (Name) mumbled and threw the ball with all of the strength she had left across the court.
"Ow!" A small cry of pain was heard and (Name) perked up and quickly looked to see where the ball had landed. Sure enough, there stood Kagami Taiga rubbing his head with a basketball near him and another one under his arm.
"Sorry, Kagami-kun!" She called, quickly standing up and racing over. The red and black haired male turned and smiled slightly, happy to see her.
"It's alright...why did you throw it anyway?" He asked, putting his bag down in the corner of the court and picking up the ball she threw and handing it too her. Embarrassed, (Name) blushed lightly and looked slightly at the ground while gently taking the ball from him.
"I, uh, kind of got mad because I can't make a basket and threw the ball. I swear I didn't mean to hit you though!" She said and Kagami smiled slightly and chuckled.
"I said it was ok, how about I teach you?" He asked and (Name) instantly grinned and nodded happily.
"Please! I really need the help from the ace of the Seirin Basketball Team!" She said, making the tall male blush lightly.
"Alright, let's get started"

After an hour of trying to teach (Name) how to properly shoot a basketball, Kagami stood back and watched. Hesitantly, (Name) threw the ball and was almost afraid to watch. But somehow, it made it in.
"Yay! Thanks, Taiga-kun!" She cheered, hugging her crush tightly. Kagami blushed almost as red as his hair, both from her using his first name and from her hugging him. Slowly, he wrapped his strong arms around her small frame.
"No problem, you caught on quickly. Why were you trying so hard by yourself? You know I would have been more than happy to help you" he asked her, the (hair color) girl blushing and gently pulling away from the hug while looking at the ground.
In Kagami's eyes, she was absolutely adorable. Her cheeks and a little bit of her nose and ears were a light red and her (hair color) strands fell around her face perfectly. Her soft and sparkling (eye color) orbs were focused on everything but him. It was the cutest thing he's ever seen.
"W-well...I wanted to learn how to shoot so I could show you and impress you..." (Name) said shyly, Kagami's crimson eyes widening before he softly smiled at her.
"You don't have to shoot a basketball to impress me, everyday you seem to wow me over and over again with that beautiful face of yours" he said, then realizing what he had just told her and blushed darkly. (Name) looked up at him, shocked that something like that could come from the short-tempered basketball player.
Now's the chance! I can't back down now when I have the perfect chance to tell him how I feel!
Gathering up all her courage, (Name) stood up on her toes and gently kissed the boy in front of her. Kagami froze, not expecting the sign of affection, but slowly leaning forward and kissed back. When they both had to part for air, the new couple smiled at each other lovingly.
"I love you, Taiga"
"I love you too, (Name)"
