Chapter six The academy of warriors

I camped on the river shore that night in a nearby tree. I glanced over towards the spot where I had my breakdown.

"I won't ever cry my eyes out again" I told myself.

I looked around one last time, and when I was sure it was safe I tried going to sleep.

Bad idea.

All of my nightmares were filled with Jason bashing Daniel's skull in with that slab of ice. I saw his brain and blood spilling onto the carpet staining it a dark crimson. Feeling the blood oozing through my fingers as I cried over his dead body. That trucker grabbing me, violating me. His face a look of terror as I stabbed his arm and frozen in fear when I took his life away.

I woke up startled from my nightmare. I looked around, none of the specters I saw in my dream were there. I rubbed my eyes and saw the sun was rising. I needed to get moving lest somebody find that truckers body. I again saw his smile as he tried to rape me. I shuddered at the thought.

"Just push it out of your head".

"Yeah right".

I followed the bank of the river eventually running into a town.

"Great I'm hungry and I don't know what to do".

I checked my wallet to see if there was any cash. Luckily the creepy bastard didn't rob me. I hide my bag and started towards the nearest IHOP. Conveniently located right in front of me. I walked through the front door and was immediately confronted by a waitress.

"Hi how may I help you" she asked smiling.

"Uhh... table for one" I responded.

"Ok hey Sean I need a table for one" she shouted toward the kitchen as if somebody was a football field away.

I looked around for the guy named Sean. Nobody came out from the kitchen but instead he stood up from behind the counter.

"Jesus! I'm coming I'm coming I had to finish stacking menus".

Sean walked over to me and took me to an empty table. The table was in a corner with two windows on each side. I sat down in the seat.

"What do you want to drink" Sean sighed at me.

"Huh what?"

"What do you want to drink"

"Oh uh coffee I guess".

Sean walked away looking pissed off. I glanced out the window at the clouds rolling in. I looked up as I heard Sean slam the mug down on the table. He glared at me as he walked away. The lady at the front came and asked me for my order. I just order simple pancakes since I wasn't feeling myself. I looked around the parking lot through the window. Thats when I spotted her. The blonde hair face and red dress randomly approaching the IHOP, it couldn't be anyone else. I stood up leaving money for everything and walked out of the restaurant. When I got outside I went dead sprint for the woods. Her shield and sword materialized in her hand. The field of heat appeared around her. I ran far into the woods and I looked behind me.

"I hope that bitch can't teleport".

I pulled out my takedown bow and hastily assembled and strung it. I looked behind me to see trees burst into flames. Nobody noticed it I could see the IHOP nobody was outside screaming that there was a fire. I pulled out a take down arrow screwing the shaft together. I nocked the arrow and aim at her head. I released the string the arrow flew at her head. The broad head melted into a puddle and the shaft and fletchings burst into flames. I turn and ran the other way. My hair whipped past my face as I ran jumping over tree roots and ducking branches. I came out to the shore and pullers of flame leapt up in a circle around me trapping me.

"F you blondie" I thought.

I pulled out my biggest dagger and ran at her screaming.

"Murderer".

"This is it" I thought "at least I'm trying and I'm going to die fighting".

As I drew close my blade almost reaching her the burning hot heat disappeared. I stumbled in shock and the last thing I saw was blue.

I woke up in hospital room. Nothing was hooked up to me. I looked around the room it didn't even have machines. I sat up feeling fine I stood up and looked out the window. The view was one of an abandoned city and half of the view taken up by woods and a mountain. I looked to my left seeing my bag and bow in a chair. The door to the room suddenly opened and I turned around. A man in a suit walked in along with a girl with a long rapier hanging at her side.

"Hello" the man said.

"What the hell is going on" I asked him.

"Well for starters you are in a hospital in the city half of The Academy of Warriors".

I think my blank look gave him the answer to my response.

"So let's start from the top".

He explained everything to me. That a warrior was someone who had special abilities over magic weapons. Items for killing things called Valkyries. This academy along with a few others train people to kill Valkyries. Valkyries are like angels of death with different rules. The take on a human form using it to hide themselves from Warriors. They often use swords, spears, bows, or various magic. They like to devour human flesh. They have wings that they use to usually use to fight if they think they can win. They are extremely hard to find and locate and they are very clever. The academy is composed of two parts. One is a city landscape which is an old abandoned city. The other half is woods.

But enough about this lets move on.

I learned that the rapier girl's name was Amy. She is going to show me the camp and what I do.

Srry dull chapter I know but I need to move story along explain things I know terrible descriptions but just work with me here I have more story for next chapter about the whole system I didn't want to ruin the story by explaining to much just so you get the principle leave complaints if there is something and I'll try never to do it again.
