Back at the girls' dormitory, Liz could not believe the events that had just transpired. Not only were there two massive holes in her room, but she had just witnessed people flying and teleporting about. As she sat in bed hyperventilating, an explosion off in the distance made her jump. Liz looked out her window to see a large mess of smoke coming from the woods.
As she stared in awe, she saw a small fireball approaching. A quick gasp and a duck allowed the piece of debris to smash into her room without causing any harm. The piece of rock put itself out when it crashed onto the floor, revealing a faint red sheen to it.
Curious as can be, Liz knelt down and took hold of the gemstone. The quick burnt she was dealt left quite the mark on her hand. The sharp pain she felt, however, triggered the red rock to glow past the soot that covered it.
"So what should we do with him?" Geoff asked, standing over Obsidian.
"If it is not too late, we can call Cain and let him know we captured our target," Natalia suggested.
"We can't, at least not yet. We need him to tell us where Maya is," Rebecca pointed out.
"You're right," said Sasha. "Let's take him back to our hideout."
Geoff and Natalia lifted the headmaster up by his shoulders and proceeded to carry him back to the library. Rebecca and Sasha went on ahead, looking into the damage that befell the campus.
"That robot made a mess. Tomorrow everyone is gonna be freaking out about this," Rebecca commented. "We also don't have time to put everything back together."
"We should find Maya quick."
"Ummm, what happened?" Maya asked, stepping out of the office building.
"Maya!" Natalia shoved Obsidian onto Geoff and rushed over to hug her friend.
"We were so worried for you!" said Sasha. "What happened? Where have you been?"
"I was training. With him." Maya pointed to Obsidian, just as Geoff dropped him on the ground.
"With him?!" Rebecca asked.
"Yeah... Guys, I'm having second thoughts about all this. He's actually not as bad as we've been told."
"That may be true, but we have our orders," said Rebecca. "Right?"
Everyone looked at each other, exchanging uncertain looks. No one knew what the proper course of action was.
"For now let's just take him back to the hideout, okay?" Natalia suggested. "We can think about what to do in the morning."
"Sounds good to me," Geoff said.
Picking Obsidian back up, the team journeyed back to their library safehouse. Everything was just as they left it, including the broken window that Accu leapt out of.
"Mr. Cord!" Cyclone shouted when he saw his mentor being hauled in.
"Relax, he'll be okay." Geoff sat the headmaster down on the ground, leaning against the wall.
"What did you do to him?!"
"We did nothing. He tired himself out," Natalia answered. "He saved our lives."
"Why are you doing all this?" Cyclone asked.
"To be honest, I'm not even sure," Sasha responded.
"Okay... Guess that's all the answer we needed to hear."
"What are you talking about?" Geoff asked.
"What he means," said Mary. "Is that out work here is done."
