The young woman hurried through the mostly empty college hallways, trying to make it in time for her anatomy class. Turning the corner with quick steps, she came to a halt right away.

I should've skipped afternoon classes, damnit. Katana huffed and ran a hand through her hair as she eyed the huge crowd of mostly squealing and crying young women in distaste. Holding onto her bag's straps, she rolled her eyes. The crowd made it almost impossible to pass by and the only way to her lesson was through this exact hallway.

Catching her breath briefly from all the rushing to class, to which she would be late now anyway, Katana sighed. She decided to take a quick snapshot of this commotion, knowing her best friend would want to have the gossip, especially since he was taking a semester abroad. He was her personal gossip girl and Katana had provided him with all sorts of college tea since he went away.

And this was gold as he would most likely have an ego stroke when he saw that someone other than him got all the attention from the girls. That thought made Katana smirk to herself as she put her phone back into her pocket.

Heaving another sigh, her smile dropped. For a brief moment the dark-haired woman considered taking this as a sign to go back home but quickly dismissed the thought. She had promised herself to attend more classes and to stop slacking off. So, with that in mind, she decided to make her way through the crowd. Katana went for the edge of the crowd, hoping it would be easier to get through that way.

It didn't make a huge difference as she still had to squish her way through, her eardrums almost bursting from the loud high-pitched squeals and screams.

I don't even wanna know what caused this commotion. Rolling her eyes, she kept her gaze to the front. Katana's only goal was to get through the crowd and then get as far away from there as possible without getting involved in whatever that was.

Her wish was washed down the drain as soon as a male voice spoke up. "I'm sorry ladies but I assume it's only appropriate if I celebrate with my girlfriend in private first."

Katana had almost made it through when a hand grabbed her arm gently but firmly. "Right, baby?"

The squealing and screaming stopped immediately. Silence and tension consumed everyone in the hallway in an instant. And as Katana turned her head, her cold and dark eyes made contact with warm golden ones. She furrowed her eyebrows and tilted her head in confusion.

Immediately the crowd erupted in various states of shock, disappointment and jealousy. Some whispered among themselves and looked between the pair while others shot Katana hostile and jealous looks.

Katana herself didn't even register the whispers and looks, too focused on the tall and big man in front of her. She tried to pull her arm out of his grip, "I'm not your-"

He immediately interrupted before Katana could finish her sentence. "C'mon baby, I'm sorry about earlier. Don't be like that," he said and looked at her with big eyes, desperation written all across his face. His grip on her arm slightly tightened, almost as if to tell her to go along with it.

Katana, however, wasn't having it, "what-"

"Okay, okay, lemme make it up to you, okay?" He smiled tightly and started walking away from the crowd, dragging the confused woman with him.

Katana was quite frankly taken aback by his audacity and glanced at him and then at his 'fans'.

He followed her gaze and forced a smile on his face as he looked at the crowd. "Bye ladies," he waved briefly, before quickening his pace and turning the corner out of sight of the crowd. He let out a breath and continued along the hallway, occasionally glancing over his shoulder to make sure that no one was crazy enough to follow them. Once they reached another hallway, he entered an empty classroom with a sigh of relief.
