It was Saturday morning and Jess' birthday party wasn't until eight pm so Mandy was just lazing around in her dorm waiting for the time. The party was at Jess' house since her house was close to the university and sometimes Mandy envied her for not having to live in a dorm but she also liked living away from her parents.

Mandy thought she would spend the day sleeping or playing on her phone when Jess suddenly knocked on her door and basically dragged her out to shop for her party. First they went to look for Jess' dress because she didn't have the time to look until then. After two hours of looking through shops she finally decided on a skintight off shoulder red dress that stops just below her ass. She also insisted on getting Mandy a dress which Mandy was grateful for but she insisted to pick it herself since she knew Jess would choose something skimpy like her dress which just isn't Mandy's style, in the end she chose a dark violet dress that stopped just above her knees.

They arrived at Jess' house at 5pm which gave them three hours to prepare and decorate which made Mandy cry a bit since Jess' house was quite big, no quite big was an understatement a small mansion would be more fitting. At times like these Mandy wished Jess had more close friends who can help her with these things but her friends at university were just that, friends only at university and doesn't extend outside of the school unlike Mandy. Mandy asked her about it one time and Jess explained that she felt comfortable just having a few close friends in her private life and she was comfortable keeping the others at arms length like her friends at school.

With the help of a hired decorating crew they worked nonstop for three hours and at 8pm sharp the DJ that Jess hired arrived and took his spot in front of the makeshift dance floor in the living room where they just pushed all the couches to the walls. The foods were all lined up in three long tables and the drinks in another two long tables in the open plan kitchen and dining room. Fairy lights were strung up all around the inside and outside of the house and a disco ball was also installed in the living room which really gave the place a club feeling when the lights were switched off.

At 8:20 people started pouring in and the once quiet house was quickly filled with noise. Friends and acquaintances from all departments and teammates from volleyball filled the house, and Mandy felt like Jess just invited half of the school. There were even seniors from school and Mandy was once again amazed at Jess' connections.

The party started sober since it just started at 8 but at 10 pm when they switched off all the lights in the house leaving the fairy lights and the disco ball as the only light source, people began chugging down cans of beer and bottles of alcohol. Soon enough people began to drunkenly grind on each other at the makeshift dance floor and others were already wasted and passed out on the couches, in the stairs, on the porch and in the front and back yard.

The party was in full swing and Mandy was just sitting in one of the couches watching it all happen, she didn't want to admit it but it felt like she was at a stranger's party and not her friend's. It's not like Jess was ignoring her, she just didn't know almost all of the people there, no she just didn't have any friends besides Jess and it sucked at times when Jess was busy with her other friends.

Jess did try to introduce Mandy to her other friends at school but she just didn't click with them which amazed Mandy when she thought about her being close with someone like Jess, someone who she didn't usually click with, but she guessed Jess is just that odd.

Mandy was sipping on her coke as she watched and laughed at all the drunk people on the makeshift dance floor when somebody was suddenly dumped beside her

"Sorry, there isn't any other space available" The guy who dumped the other guy beside Mandy looked at her apologetically.

"It's alright" Mandy replied.

"You can just ignore him if he makes a mess and if he tries something with you, you can just kick him in the balls!" The guy yelled cheerily as he walked away and disappeared amidst the drunken crowd.

Mandy looked back to the unconscious guy lying face down next to her and from the dim lights she vaguely saw that he had a mop of brown hair that looked kind of soft. For whatever ungodly reason Mandy's hand moved on its own and stroked his hair, it was just as soft as it looked.

He stirred and turned around so suddenly that Mandy's hand ended up on his face. She moved her hand a bit and finally saw his face. 'Oh, he's cute.' Her hand was still hovering on his face when her hand moved on its own again and her finger traced a line from his forehead down to his nose, down to his mouth and down until she hit his adam's apple and only then did she snap out of it and jerked her hand away like she had touched lava.

'The Fuck?'

'Am I drunk?' Mandy sniffed her glass of coke and sure enough there was the smell of alcohol mixed in. 'How did I not even notice the alcohol?!'

Mandy looked back to the guy and her heart jumped out of her chest, he was staring back at her.

"Pervert" Was the only word that came out of his mouth before his eyes drooped and closed again and he was back to sleeping.

'D-did he fucking see that?! Was he awake that whole time I was touching his face?!'

Mandy's face instantly caught on fire and she escaped to the kitchen, not minding the couple making out at one of the tables, she poured herself a glass of cold water and downed it in one gulp.

Pervert...Pervert....Pervert

His voice echoed in Mandy's head and she ducked down and screamed into her hands. "I'm not a pervert!"

"Who's a pervert?" Mandy looked up and saw Jess standing above her.

"Oh shit are you drunk?" Jess touched Mandy's cheeks which felt hot. Mandy's face usually heated up when she was drunk and it was all the more obvious by the red color blotched on her face because of the embarrassment just moments before.

Mandy shoved her hands away and grumbled "'m not drunkkkk!"

"Yeah you are" Jess' face was the last thing Mandy remembered before blacking out.
