<Ara’s POV>

“Last day of school, woo, last day of school~”
“Last day of school, woo, last day of school~”

I sang as I walked towards my shared apartment near my school with a smile on my face.

Today was my last day of being an 11th grader in my school which is in Seoul. It was a busy year, but I managed to pull it off.

I’ve been living in Seoul for 5 years now and I haven’t seen my family for about 4 to 5 months. So, this will be a great opportunity to go home and spend time with my family for 2 months straight.

As I entered my shared apartment, I rushed to my bedroom and put my bag near my bed, got clothes from my cabinet carrying them towards the bathroom. I got out of the shower, feeling fresh and fine. I decided to call eomma to tell her the good news.

“Yeoboseyo?”

“Hello eomma” I answered

“Oh, sweetie, how are you? You haven’t called me in a while” She said making me a little guilty.

“I’ve been busy with schoolwork.” I replied and added, “By the way, how are you, appa, and oppa doing there?”

My mom chuckled “We’re fine as always. Your appa just got home a few minutes ago from the bakery and your oppa is hanging out with his friends as usual.”

“Well, that’s good to hear. Ah, I almost forgot, eomma, I’m coming home tomorrow since we just have a summer break. Is that, ok?” I asked.

“Are you kidding? Of course, it’s ok, more than ok that is. I missed my precious sunshine after all.” She said as I laughed.

“Thanks, eomma, and one thing, you can’t tell this to oppa and appa. Ok?” I said making her hum as a yes.

“Thank you again eomma”

“Anything for you. Love you.”

“Yeah, love you.”

I looked at my clock saying 5:30 pm.

“Eomma, I need to go now. Goodbye, and see you tomorrow.” I said and I laughed.

“No problem my daughter. See you tomorrow.” She said as I hung up

I sighed “Now, let’s pack up things needed for tomorrow.” I said in excitement.

“I can finally sleep,” I said to myself as I picked up my Kumamon pillow and I laid on my bed.

After I finished packing my things, I ate dinner with my roommate at a café near our school. I already told her that I would be going back to Daegu for 2 months to visit my family. She is also visiting her parents in America, so, she is ok with it. Yep, she is an American, well, half-American and half-Korean. Her name is Park Yeri, my best and first friend in Seoul.

Right now, she is sleeping in her room, enjoying her time in dreamland while there’s me, trying my best to sleep. After a few minutes of trying to sleep, I finally dozed off to dreamland.

I opened my eyes to see that I’m standing in the middle of my school’s hallway. I looked to my left and my right to see no one around me. I also noticed that it was night time so I decided to stay where I am because I’m scared of the dark. After a few minutes of standing, I heard a piano playing. Out of curiosity, I followed the sound until I reached a Music Room.

And that’s where I saw him.

A boy playing the piano in a school uniform. I stood beside the door and observed the boy to saw that his uniform is not the same as mine in school, so, I assumed that he is from another school.

He suddenly stopped playing the piano and looked in my direction. I was shocked by his sudden action because he flashed me a gummy smile that melts my heart in an instant.

In the next minute, he signals me to come inside the Music Room.

I walked until I was beside the piano.

“Hello there.” He said as he waved his hand.

“H-hello…” I stuttered as he smiles.

Gosh, he’s smiling again. Maybe he wants me dead. I thought to myself.

“Nice to meet you.”

“I’m-”
