Theo's pov
"So Ry,tell me more about yourself."we finally made it to the diner and were sitting at a booth,waiting for our food.he sighed,"I guess I should be completely honest,huh?"he asked.I nodded,"that is how dates usually are."I replied.he gulped,"well...I used to be an alcoholic."he admitted.I widened my eyes,"Ry-"I tried to speak but he continued."i used to drink a lot,like way too much.I mean,my friends were doing it-I mean they don't anymore because they're starting to have families-but they used to.and for a while...a long while...I thought I would die.I thought that one day,my alcoholism would get me killed."tears began to form in his eyes,"but then my best friend's wife got pregnant,and they made me the kid's godfather."he smiled and chuckled.
"At that moment,I found a little bit of meaning in my life.but it threw me into a little bit of a crisis:like I didn't know what to do with my life,ya know?"I didn't say a word,I just sat there and listened."so I quit,went cold turkey.and it wasn't easy,I've almost entered bars but managed to stop myself.and I've been learning how to take care of my godson Layne,he's 2 now."he dug into his phone and opened it,showing his lockscreen(which was a picture of him holding Layne)."Ryan..."he put his phone back in his pocket,I smiled and grabbed one of his hands.he blushed and widened his eyes as he looked at me,"I think you're the strongest man in the world."i said confidently.his face got even redder,"you think so?"I nodded.

Ryan's pov
I sat on the couch,smiling and blushing as I texted Theo."GERONIMO DUNN!"I heard Maddie exclaim,I looked up and saw her jump off the railing.she landed next to me on the couch,"you're an ass!"she claimed as she punched me in the arm."ow!what did I do?"I asked as I rubbed my arm,"you didn't tell me how your date with Theo was!"she replied.I widened my eyes,"ah fuck,I'm sorry Mads."she patted my head."I forgive you,"I smiled,"now tell me about your date!"She exclaimed."ok!ok!"I closed my phone and put it in my pocket,I then proceeded to tell Maddie about the stuff Theo and I did on our first date.she seemed shocked when I told her Theo and I didn't immediately hook up,"woah,you're really taking things slow huh?"i nodded.
She then grinned and yelled,"DICO YOU OWE ME TWENTY BUCKS!"I blushed in embarrassment."SON OF A BITCH!"we heard Dico exclaim."you guys were betting on me?!"I asked,I saw Dico muttering curse words as he came down the stairs with $20 in his hands."well to be honest it was Bam who started the bet,but Dico was the one who accepted sooo"Maddie held out her hand,Dico rolled his eyes and handed her the money.she grinned and shoved it in her pocket,"Bam's gonna be so pissed."she giggled.I jokingly rolled my eyes,we then heard Layne crying through the baby monitor.she sighed in disappointment,"duty calls."she said dramatically.
