Y/n's pov:

Do i know that rex lapis going to fake his death? Yes. Do i know he's under the name zhongli and is working for my best friend hu tao? Yes. Is he making me his 3rd personal wallet? Yes. Does ganyu know? Probably not.

"Keq, can i go? I'm actually supposed to meet someone today" She nodded as we have been working for a few hours and now just got out of the jade chamber to see the rite of descension. I left and went to the wansheng funeral house parlor

"Y/nnnn!!!" I heard a cheerful voice call before i got engulfed in a really tight hug. I hugged her back, patting her slightly

"Hello tao, is Mr. Zhongli here?"

"And here i thought you came just to see me. Hmph!"

She broke the hug and crossed her arm, pumping her cheeks and glaring at me "Ofcourse i came for you, but i also have business with Mr. Zhongli"

"You do? Ok! Just come hang with me later" She cheerfully said before going away...Where is Mr. Zhongli though?

"Y/n?" I turned around to see Mr. Zhongli, i bowed and greeted him back "Greetings Mr. Zhongli" i smiled

"Zhongli will be fine, let's go talk somewhere private" I followed him to his office "Already have an office? Just how long have you been zhongli?" I looked around the room

"A few months, to blend in with the mortals i must live them for a bit as a mortal. But most important of all, why are you not in the rite of descension?" He sat on his chair while i sat on the chair for guests

"Don't want to see your fake death. May i still call you father?"

"Ofcourse, just maybe not around people who doesn't know I'm morax"

I nodded. Zhongli is not my biological father nor adoptive, but he treats me like one so i call him father.

"Alright then, father may i as the 2nd yuheng help them?"

"I wouldn't really mind if you help them, after all it is the yuheng's duty and an adepti's to protect liyue's people"

I smiled and nodded "i should go now, i still need to fake my death after all. They'll probably call for you after that, good luck" i nodded and he left

I went out of his office and went to hu tao, took a few minutes before i finally found her "Tao!!!" I ran over to her and back hugged her, she laughed and put her arms above mine

I rest my chin on her shoulder to see she was actually talking to someone, they wore fancy clothes so i searched for their vision. A hydro one, how have i never heard of them before?

I retreated my arms and stood beside hu tao smiling at the lady "Y/n meet miss yelan, a client. Miss yelan meet y/n my friend" hu tao stated

I shook hands with yelan while we greeted each other but before we could start a conversation a millelith came running over to me

"Lady Y/n! We have a problem! Someone murdered rex lapis" the millelith said, i acted shocked and sad for the sake of the contract i made with father

"What?! Then there's no time to stand around, let's go!" I exclaimed, the mililith nodded and walked "I need to go, nice seeing you miss yelan. Ba-bye tao!" I immediately caught up with the millelith to go to the rite of descension

I brought out my sword and looked around trying my best to act like I'm looking for a suspect

But then i saw a blonde girl, she didn't look like she was from this world, she had a balloon with her. Oh wait no, it's a fairy.

I sense someone looking at me, so i looked at the direction where i felt it and saw a blonde boy. Little aether. I smirked at him and he just looked back at his twin sister

I was about to go to him when the millelith suddenly cornered the girl, i was about to stop them when a ginger fought them off and ran away with the girl

I groaned and went to the jade chamber, where i assumed the others are. "Lady y/n, Lady ningguang called you to her office" a maid said, i nodded and went to the said place

I knocked and went in to see ningguang, ganyu, and keqing. I greeted them and sat on a chair

We had a short meeting regarding the 'murder' of rex lapis, i feel so bad that ganyu didn't know but what to do I can't break a contract
