After a couple of people Harry's Name was called and the entire hall started to whisper. Harry sat on the stool and placed the hat on his head. About thirty seconds later the hat screamed "Gryffindor!" and their table erupted in cheers. I was the last person to be called. "Cameron, Red!". I slowly walked up the stairs, sat down and put the hat on. "Hmm, curious very curious" A voice whispered in my ear "Powerful, yes and a lot of potential. Hmm, hidden talents, I know just where to put you. Slytherin!" He shouted so everyone could hear.
Slytherin wasn't that bad, right? I walked over to the far table on my left and sat down. What looked like the headmaster stood up "And welcome to Hogwarts first years. Some rules to say just to keep you out of trouble. Don't walk about at night, stay away from the third corridor or you will get an immediate detention and do not enter the forest for anyone who wants to live", whispers and murmurs of fear bubbled from the first years and before we eat some wise words. Nitwit! Blubber! Enjoy!". Once he finished the food materialised on our tables.
After the feast we were all ushered into our common rooms and told the password Pure blood. Apparently it never changed, it was a bit rude. I was told I had my own room compared to the rest of the female first years who had to share one. I didn't really understand but I did what I was told and headed to the room that was supposedly mine. All of my stuff was in it, including Hades. "Hades I'm sorry I couldn't take you in are you okay?"I questioned.
"Yessss Red I am fine as you can ssssssee,"He replied.
"Right, sorry. Anyway I got into Slytherin! And while I was in the boat I was given this!" I said, showing Hades the trinket one of the mermaids gave me earlier today.
"That'ssssssss cool. I wassssssss given sssssssome ratssssssss," Hades braged very happy that he was given a treat.
"And we get this room to ourselves. Before you ask, no I don't know how it happened. Oh maybe it was because you are meant to be poisonous?" I questioned.
"Yessssss mossssst likely", Hades answered.
"Oh well thanks for that"
"No problem"
"I wonder what Lessons I get to do tomorrow?"I pondered as I looked at my timetable that was on my bed "Oooo now I can't wait!".
