8 months after the twins, Octavia & Sutton were born..
It's 3am and I'm awake. I'm not quite sure why, until I feel that the bed is empty beside me. Fucking Alexei. He knows I can't sleep without him next to me.
One of the twins must have woken up and he probably went to tend to them. I'm exhausted lately. I'm 22, and have 7 kids- and although I love them to no end, I'm tired. My head hits the pillow at night and I am dead to the world until morning- providing my dear husband stays in bed next to me
Deciding to check on things, I hop out of bed and throw on Alexei's t-shirt before opening our bedroom door, and quietly tip-toeing downstairs incase he was able to get the baby back to sleep.
I hear quiet giggles coming from the kitchen, and when I approach the doorway, my heart melts at the sight. Alexei is shirtless- in nothing but his sweatpants, and our daughter Octavia, is sitting on the kitchen counter in her bumbo seat, smiling and laughing at him as he feeds her baby food from the jar, and making silly faces.
Alexei sets the jar on the counter, and covers his eyes with his hands as she peers up at him with her big, one tooth smile.
"Where's my малышка gone?" he asks. (baby girl)
She wiggles around in her seat a little bit before he removes his hands from over his eyes. "Peak-a-boo! There she is!!!" Via throws her head back in a fit of giggles, kicking her feet back and forth and clapping her hands.
Alexei does the same thing a few more times, and each and every time they watch each other like they are the others entire world. Every time Via laughs, there's the most tender look on his face, and it reinforces why I married this man.
He the most amazing daddy our babies could ask for, and the most amazing husband to me.
He does it once more, and once she finishes laughing he picks her up out of her seat and hugs her into his chest, swaying back and forth as she settles into him- and rests her head on his warm chest. He sways back and forth with her for a little while, before kissing her forehead and resting his cheek against her head, whispering a quiet "я люблю тебя, принцесса. навсегда папина дочка." (i love you princess. forever a daddy's girl)
I smile as I watch him, and can't help but think about where we started 6 years ago. He's the love that came without warning- and my life has been better for it ever since. He's my best friend and my soulmate, and I'm forever grateful I get to do life by his side.
We got married 3 years ago, and since then he's upheld our vows, and has been my rock. We've added 6 kids since we got married, Ace just a few months after our wedding, The triplets almost 2 years ago, and then the twins 8 months ago. My body has changed so much- and its not what it was when I was 16, but it's mine- and he loves every inch of it.
