the girl with the power

Hi my name is Alex, for the past month my life was splashed before my eyes. I can’t even tell you how much craziness has been going around my school, with dinosaurs and going to Athens in ancient times. But it wasn’t all bad at first with middle school. It was before a weird girl came to my school. I know it's rude to call someone that but it's true. I was in history being bored to death with a teacher, and playing with a pencil to keep myself entertained. Then she walked in. My teacher stopped talking and looked over. Ms.conner explained 

“this is brook she is new, brook go tell the class about yourself or not it's up to you.” 

I was surprised that ms.conner was being so nice and easy-going because I didn’t want to talk  on the first day of school, soo she forced me to say something like “i like video games.” Something basic but not embarrassing, brook turned to the class 

“If you want to go home to your parents alive, stay out of my way.

” She said harshly, everyone started to giggle and making jokes as she sat down on a chair right next to me. I'm the nice friendly girl in class. I wanted to be nice because kids were already mocking her for that opening statement. 

“ So hi my name is Alex welcome to eagle middle school so why did you move here.”

 She looked at me like she was ready to fight but not me, it was luke. Luke was one of those scumbags who think he’s so cool by saying stuff from memes and TikTok. It's like if you listen to him for two long hours you will lose fifty brain cells. And also he made dirty jokes like it’s cool to listen to like YUCK. he was pulling one of those not funny pranks’ they were so lame and cringey. He was putting ripped pieces paper on my desk and I snapped 

“stop, you are such an idiot.”

 “could you not be so much of a ‘not like other girls’ thing like damn.”

 he laughed 

“stop cursing.”

 I cringed . I hate cursing. I was raised in a way where you don’t curse around people so when I hear kids curse right next to adults then they don’t do anything I'm triggered

 “could you be more of a prude.

” He said I scoffed and turned back to face the teacher. I noticed Brook was staring at me but I was so stressed with trying to get notes down I snapped and yelled quietly 

“ What is your freakin problem, stop looking at me damn it!” 

She started to giggle. I was surprised because her face is like a resting bitch face, but she laughed at me and I started getting angry. 

“What is Soooo, funny?”

 “ Probably those green disgusting sawyer water eyes you have.”  luke laughed people around giggling saying things that I never thought was cool to say like ‘ oh burn or something stupid like that I just stopped listening to both of them until brook whisper in my ear “meet me at the courtyard.”

“ Why in God's name would I do that?” I argued “by looking at you, you probably have nothing better to do so.'' She said, looking at me up and down. I sigh because she is right so I agreed to meet her ALONE god.

This is like a horror movie where the girl was lord into the woods to be killed by the weird girl that was secretly in love with the girl. Sorry if that creeped  you out. I watch a lot of criminal minds.

after 30 mins of history notes was over  all kids run to go outside to gossip and fight I would sit and watch like it’s tv show it is so entertaining but now I just read books I used to hate reading it was all about something stupid we have take notes and explain the plot so stupid but I found some there were so funny there like harry potter books but better but now kids asking why do you read.
Like WHAT if like reading that’s my business even my mother doesn’t believe I like to read books like damn.

So brook sitting with a scroll in her hand. It was like one of those ancient scrolls people used in early china so walked over to where she was sitting “ so what do you want.” I ask as nicely as possible. 

“ You are the chosen one”

 she said all seriously like I started laughing hard. She stood up fast looking at me dead in the eyes and whispered harshly “this is no laughing matter.” and i  stopped laughing and walked away because if she got all up in my face again i was going to push her back with all my force. As i break down the bulshit brook was selling me i bumped into luke and he shouted 

“ watch it you nun.” 

and all blond popular girls just started to laugh and all the air head jocks started to ‘ohh’ and ‘burn’ at me as i just keep walk think of insults and ways to curse them out i sat down on a bench  and brook sat next to me and said 

“sorry i was really intense but all i want to tell you is, that your life is going to get harder than you ever thought it could so you shouldn’t be getting work up with shitbags of people, there’s way more at stack”.

I wanted to thank her for trying to cheer me up but.she basically just said that my life is going to get even worse, once courtyard was over all classes went by quick probably is because i wasn’t paying attention and once my bus was called i ran i could wait to get back home but even on the bus can’t get away from gen z dickheads when i ran open the door to my house i kick off my

shoes and belly-flopped on the couch my mom wasn’t there of course my mom worked in a cafe and she works the night shifted and my dad left two months ago for my mom’s sister and she is only 21 and he's 65 so yes gross he finally left my mom  when she found out she was pregnant with twin boys at my parents anniversary dinner no less to be a bitch i guess, my thought was interrupted with the doorbell it was my auntie how funny is life uh ha i swallowed my anger and said as nicely as possible

“ hi auntie.” she smiled and said your mother has been arrested for stealing food and money from her customer’s so your dad made her come here to get you. 

I blanked out all I knew was I was crying and packing my bags. Driving in the new audi S6 she got for her baby shower from my dad. We went to their big apartment/penthouse. It was bigger than my whole entire home and she then began bragging about shitty expensive vacations my dad took her on. Well, he was still together with my mom. “So sweetie, how is school? I remember my middle school days.”
“well auntie it was good”   

. “great so your dad is coming soon so excuse me, we'll i continue online shopping.'' 

‘good fucking riddance.’ I thought 

  see, isn’t she cunt! ring ring my phone ringing? It never ring, it my dad of course 

“ hello dad.” 

“ Dad, what happened to daddy?”  ‘ After I haven't seen you in 6 months you creep old man’ “ 

just growing up is all, sooo this is about mom.” 

“ isn’t my daughter smart? Yes, ask your  stepmother to drive to  6464 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60626 6464 police station .”

 end call    i cringed at the word stepmother eww he and my mom broke up 3 months ago you must be thinking ‘ but wait didn’t you say you haven;t seen him in 6 months’  yes cause he had long business trips with my aunt so i barely saw him in 6 months damn are people getting nosey.  

“Auntie!” 
“What” I heard her scream back like a six year old coming back down the stairs with a mopey expression
