It's late when you arrive at Wangshu Inn, you greet Verr Goldet on your way up to meet your angsty boyfriend, she smile a waves as Wei purrs beside her on the counter.

Once you reach Xiao's balcony you set out his favourite almond togu and a little something for yourself before looking up towards the night sky, you call out his name and wait for his appearance but he doesn't seem to show, you take a few minutes before calling his name once again, yet again...No answer.

You raise your eyebrow before getting up and walking back down the stairs towards the counter "Goldet, have you seen Xiao?" You ask in confusion as you look around.

"Ah, (Y/N) he never leaves his balcony unless he's off fighting something...maybe check around the surrounding area?" She smiles and you nod in return. "Thankyou, I will!" You smile before walking towards the elevator to take you down to the outside bottom floor.

She waved you goodbye once more before you leave.

You start to. Look around the surrounding area for any sign of the adeptus but when all hope seems bleak you catch a very faint noise of a hillichurl grunting in pain.

You run to the source of the noise and just as you suspected, there he was, fighting some corrupted mobs on one of the nearby small islands.

You decide to step in and help, Xiao's eyes widening when he notices your presence, you both fight alongside eachother until the last hillichurl had fallen.

Xiao pants heavily as he tucks his  primordial jade spear away and looks towards you "I can handle these things myself, I didn't need your help." He speaks bluntly, clearly irritated by your sudden help.

You pour as you get up closer to him and place your hands on his shoulders "how many times have I told you, if you're always there when I call your name then I want to retry the favour, we are together after all." You narrow your eyes as you gently rub your thumbs in small circles against his shoulders.

He sighs, not wanting to make eye contact "I hear you calling, I was just finishing clearing these demons and I would on been with you afterwards." He seems to be holding a grudge.

You playfully roll your eyes before guiding him back towards the Wangshu Inn "I know...But I wanted to make sure you were alright." You smile as he eventually makes eye contact with you, still making it obvious he wasn't exactly pleased you joined in.

"You may be an adventure but I don't want you to get hurt, if you ever get injured because of something I caused with my karma if never forgive myself...More that I already can't for all that's happened." He speaks bluntly once again as you perk up, a small blush tinting your cheeks.

"Well  if I soothe the pain of your karmic debt when I'm around you then I never want to be apart, as much as you don't want me to get hurt...It goes both ways Xiao." You speak sternly.

"Why are you always so stubborn..." he growls as you both step into the elevator.

"I need to be stubborn for you to listen to me, your 10 times as stubborn as me Xiao." You giggle as you lead him past the counter and up to his balcony, earning a great full smile from Goldet.

"Are you hurt?" You ask him as he pauses at the sight of the almond tofu you had prepared and brought for him.

"No." He answers before kneeling down and picking up the chopstick "did you make this?" He asks and he removes the cover from the food.

"Yep! Since it's the only thing you can eat I thought I'd give you some I made myself." You kneel down across from him.

He nods "Thankyou...(Y/N)."

You nod as you both sit in silence and enjoy your meals together, even if you don't talk it's nice to just be in each others company.

Once Xiao polished off the last of his almond tofu, you clear up and lay down, patting the space next to you.

He lays down, looking up at the night sky covering Teyvat "I know you always think I'm lonely so you always come to see me when you're not busy...I appreciate it, even when I talk down to you it doesn't scare you off...You really do soothe the excruciating pain of my karmic debt..." He mumbles as you turn to look at him.

"Xiao." You speak and he turns to you in response "may I kiss you?" You ask, not wanting to make him feel pressured.

He thinks for a moment before nodding and leaning towards you, connecting your lips to his, you once again share a moment of silence, the only thing you could hear was the wet sounds of your mouths overlapping eachother.

"Xiao~" you mumble against his lips.

But before you could continue he speaks instead "I love you too (Y/N)~"
