Accidentally Criminals

Sophomore Year

Aiden and I were anxious to go back to school. We walked through the doors, and everyone turned their heads and looked at us. They always looked at us because we're twins, but this time was different. It felt like hours they were staring at us and then they started to whisper. They all know what happened last summer. We walked to our lockers to get our books for class, and I heard one of the students saying do you believe he's dead, it been three months. I ran into an empty classroom holding in my tears. A boy came over and asked if I was alright?

I had just taken a deep breath and started to settle when I heard a sharp breath from the table behind me.

"Who are you? And why are you in a dark classroom?" I asked.

"I'm Caleb, I just moved here. I felt a bit overwhelmed, so I came in this classroom."

"I'm Stephanie, you can call me Steph, I can show you around the school before lunch."

"Ok, thanks." He said with a smile. We walked out of the room, and I walked Caleb to the principal's office.

"I'll see you later." I stated as I bolted to class.

After five minutes I made it to history class, which I have with Aiden. When I saw Aiden sitting down, I walked over and sat down next to him. Aiden looked over at me and asked are you ok? I told him that I'll be fine. I told I met someone in the classroom his name is Caleb. He just moved here so I walked him to the office. The teacher walked in and shouted sorry I'm late, Let's get started. An hour went by, and the bell rang. Aiden and I were not in the next class which was math class. I walked to my locker and switch out my books. I got to math class, and I saw Caleb and the rest of my classmates standing in front of the class waited to be seated. Math teachers always give assigned seats. I got seated in the third row in the third chair in. Caleb got sat to the left of me and Grace Hensley is on my right. Jack Dawson is in front of me. After three minutes everyone got seated and the teacher, Ms. Lansky, started the lesson.

"Hey, Caleb, I see you found the classroom." I whisper over.

"Hey, I got help from one of the teachers." Caleb said shyly

"I can show you around after class." I spoke. After class I showed Caleb around. When we were done, I ask him to show me his schedule to see if we had any other classes together. "We have Math and English together." "If we want to eat, we should get to lunch." I added. "You can sit with Aiden and I."

"Who is Aiden?

"Oh, you'll see.

"Ok!" Caleb exclaimed with joy. We walked in the cafeteria and got in line. Aiden was already sitting down. We got our lunches and sat down next to him.

"Hey, Steph, who is this?" Aiden asked.

"Hey, this is Caleb the boy I met. I announced."

"Hey, Caleb, I'm Aiden Stephanie's twin brother." He introduces himself with a smile. We all talked for bit until we got interrupted.

A girl named Skye walked and asked. "Aren't you the twins that older brother went missing last summer?"
