Selena's POV
I awoke to find myself still holding demi. I blinked in the rays of daylight and my hand sub consciously swept my face. I blinked harder trying to adjust my eyes. And eventually they did just that. I heard a groan come from beside me, I glanced down through the ruffled brown hair below and I smiled as demi emerged from underneath the duna. She didn't open her eyes straight away, and when she did she groaned once again. Her pale skin being showing even whiter in the sun compared to my naturally darker skin was so different. Finally though, once her eyes had adjusted she cracked a smile. She stretched out on top of everything in the bed, including me. Her arms flopped lazily across my face and her leg landed below. I giggled before pushing her off. She slumped back onto her "side" as she liked to call it, and then rolled over, but not towards me however, she had rolled the wrong way and was centimetres from falling. Her body was tantalizingly close t the edge when I reached out and pulled her back, however just as if she had expected this she pulled harder on my arm and yanked, causing me to go flying out of the bed covers and straight off the side. I landed hard, yet I was still half asleep so I didn't feel that much pain, instead I lay on the ground laughing like a wild hyena, copied by demi who mirrored me but she was still resting on the edge. She helped me back up and once that was done sat there giggling for awhile.
I watched demi's eyes wander over my room lazily, gazing for anything that might catch her interest. I watched as her bright yet saddened brown eyes flickered over my pristine white walls, past my messy wall length desk and finally rested on a wall opposite my bed, which was literally covered from one edge to the other with old indie posters, mainstream bands, chick flick movie adverts and finally, old yet still endearing pictures of demi and i. I watched as a big Cheshire cat grin made its way onto her face, earning a copycat from me. I love seeing demi smile. I loved her voice to, I'm the only person that's ever heard her sing, but man can she sing.. I remember the day she showed me, we had been sitting over behind my house, on a hill overlooking a large valley, which was filled with trees. We were wearing onesies and we were sitting huddle against a larg oak tree, leaves occasionally falling down. We had been sharing a rather comfortable silence when she broke it by singing so softly, yet right on key an tune. The song of her choice? Blackbird by The Beatles. It startled me but I didn't stop her, her voice was so powerful and mesmerising. She sang with a lot of emotion and so when she had finished the song, all she id was turn around to where I was and smiled, knowing she had finally showed off her talent, yet I still think she never should have had felt the need to prove herself to me. She was my demi, with the blue jean jacket on and the realy cute red bow, the one that turned around in line and offered me to draw with her from barney.
I was brought back from my flashback by demi getting up. I looked over at the time and did a complete double take.
"Demi!, Shit dude its freaking 12:30pm!" I exclaimed jumping right up.
"Oh god sel! Dude I have to go now! Jees my mums probably been waiting outside for like 40 minutes!" She exclaimed wide eyed. She quickly rushed around, grabbing loose items of her bag from the floor and finally stopping to pick up. She hastily grabbed a scrunchie from her wrist, slipped on a hoodie to cover "Everything" up and gave me a quick hug before rushing out the door, to go to her cousins house.
At school the next morning
I walk down the wooden corridors dozens of bodies pushing against me, scrambling to get totheir classes. I looked around for demi, I mean where was she? Given it was our first day back, but I needed my brown eyed best friend to be here at the start. I bumped into a few people as I made my way to our lockers, mumbling a few hello's as I went. I noticed as I neared my locker that my little brown haired bestie was leant up against it her mouth open in protest and her eyes filled to the brim with tears. Surrounding her were my friends Stacey and Ashley and in their hands was a small leather book with crumpled pages. I strode towards them now and I could hear their conversation
