(Flashback)
Later that night, Chapa and Bose were on their way to Nacho Ball when she called Miles to tell her the news.
Mika and Miles were at Club Soda when his phone rang.
Bold and normal- Miles
Italics- Chapa
"Hello?"
"Hello, Miles. I just called to ask if you and Mika would like to meet me and my cutie Bose at Nacho Ball."
"Sure. What did the doctor say about Bose's foot?"
"Well—it does not need surgery, but it is going to be in a bandage and a cast for five weeks."
"In other words... it's broken?"
"No. It is bruised."
"Okay, we will see you at Nacho Ball."
"Great. We will see you there."
Miles ended the call with Chapa.
"Mika, are you ok?"
"Yes, Miles."
"Well, I have good news. Chapa and Bose left the hospital, and they are coming."
"Yay! But—what IS the bad news?"
"Bose's foot is in a bandage and a cast for five weeks. He will be okay."
"Uh—where are we going?"
"Chapa and Bose wanted us to meet them at Nacho Ball."
"That will be great!"
Miles and Mika said goodbye to Tony and thanked him for the invite.
They are waiting for Chapa and Bose to come.
Out on the road, they had arrived at Nacho Ball, and the sunset was about to go down behind Mount Swellview.
They parked the Man Buggy in case there was trouble or a criminal nearby. They walked in, and Sandy was working on a new setup on the counter.
"Hi, Chapa. What a surprise. How is everyone?" Sandy asked.
"It is going well, Sandy. Nice work on the counter." Chapa said.
"Thanks, Chapa. I have worked very hard putting it together."
"That looks great. You have done a great job." Bose said.
"I am sure they will love it." Mika said.
"I think so. What happened to you, Bose?"
"I bruised my foot."
"Well—I am sure it will get better soon."
"Thanks. Where is Miles, Chapa?"
"He's coming with Mika, Bose."
"What a lovely setup you have here." Miles said.
"Thanks."
At the table...
"What can I start for you?"
"My cutie, what kind of order do you like?"
"I will have the cheese nachos, Chapa."
Chapa looked at Mika.
"What kind of order do you like, Mika?"
"I would like tacos, Chapa."
"I guess I am with Mika on that one, Chapa."
"Then—in that case, I will join my cutie with the cheese nachos..."
Chapa looked back at Sandy.
"We will take two plates of tacos, and two plates of cheese nachos, please."
"Great choice, Chapa. I see that is popular today. Buy two, get two free."
"I see. That is so popular to me."
"It sure was. I got more customers buying food with the special."
"Nice work."
Chapa was so impressed with the big sale today, and she seemed very happy with Sandy.
"So—what is the total for today?"
"It is eight dollars, and the other two are free."
"Great."
Chapa hands Sandy the money, and she gets some back.
Later, Chapa looked at her phone seeing Celia had texted.
"Hey, Chapa. I am just checking in on how everyone is doing. I am sorry to hear about Bose. It is a good thing you are here with him. I am at the hotel near the hospital, so I can walk to where Clone Miles is until he can be discharged. How are you doing? How is he?"
"Thanks, Celia. I was there with him in the Man Buggy. He sat next to me the whole journey from Club Soda to the hospital. He does not argue with me at all. He is well-behaved to me. You as well?"
"You can say that again. Thank you for helping me out, Chapa. You can take them in the Man's Nest, or you can sleep at your house."
"I think sleeping at my house is a good idea. Thanks. Let me know if anything changes."
"I will, Chapa. Thanks."
Chapa finished her text with Celia, and she put her phone back in her pocket. Sandy came by with the food from everyone.
"Thanks, Sandy." she said.
Sandy smiled.
Chapa passed Bose and Mika their food, and Miles had his tacos sitting right in front of him. Everyone enjoyed their food.
After they finished their food, they left Nacho Ball, and they went into Chapa's house for the night.
Bose and Mika are in their bedroom.
"That kaleidoscope is cool, Mika. Check this out." Bose said as she passed it to her.
"Wow..." Mika said as she gazed.
Chapa came in.
"Ok, you two. Time to go to sleep."
"Ok, Chapa." Bose said.
Bose and Mika are in their bedroom and Chapa comes in.
"We are going to the beach tomorrow."
"Yay." Bose said softly.
"Good night, you two."
She turned off the light.
