Chapter 9

JADE'S POV

"Mam?! Karl?" I asked as I walked in the house.

"Jadey!" I heard my name being yelled. They ran out of the kitchen and I got tackled in a hug.

"I've missed you guys so much" I whispered and held them close to me.

"I probably missed you more" my mam said and I laughed.

"I missed you too kid!" Karl said and we pulled away

"How's London?" Mam asked as we walked to the kitchen.

"It's good! I have a job at a library! Then there's a quiet little coffee shop across from mine and Jesy's apartment building" I said and smiled thinking about my blonde beauty.

"Fun! Okay, well Jadey I'm making your favourite" mam said and I smiled.

"So Karl how've you been?" I asked and turned in my seat to face him across from me.

"I've been good! Thanks!" He said and smiled.

"Where's Shirleen, and the kids?" I asked.

"Shirleen went down south to visit her family and took the kids with her" he said and I nodded.

"Why didn't you go?" I asked.

"I heard you were coming home! Couldn't miss that! Plus I miss my lovely mammy" he said.

"Aww Karl" my mam and I said at the same time.

"I know I know" he said and we laughed.

"Mam I'm going to put my stuff away I'll be down later" I said and got up.

"Okay I'll just tell you when dinner is ready" she said and I nodded.

"Okay" I said. I went and grabbed my bag to take it upstairs. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and saw a missed phone call from Perrie. I called her back and started putting my stuff away.

"Hey babes" Perrie said and I smiled.

"Hey babygirl! So what's up?" I asked.

"Well I called to tell you I was home and now I'm starting to pack my stuff up. How about you?" She asked as I put more clothes away.

"Well I'm glad your home safely for starters, but I'm unpacking" I said and we laughed. I picked up Perrie's Christmas gift and put it on top of my dresser. I laughed at the gift but smiled.

"I can't wait to see you. It's already been too long." She said and sighed. I put the last shirt away and layed on my bed.

"Me either, I miss you" I said and my face dropped.

I woke up and looked around. I stood up and stretched. I threw my hair in a mess bun and put my glasses on. I grabbed my phone and went to Perrie's contact.

Good morning baby girl! I love you! Have a great day, and Merry Christmas! xx

I put my phone in my sweatpants pocket and made my way downstairs. Pancakes. I smiled. I walked into the kitchen and saw my mam.

"Morning Mam" I said and sat at the table. She turned around and smiled at me.

"Morning Jadey! Merry Christmas!" She said and went back to cooking.

"You too mam" I said and my phone buzzed.

I changed her contact name and set my phone down. I looked up and saw my mam starring at me with a smirk.
