"I don't really think he has a problem with me, but at the same time it's the feeling i get from him you know? I don't wanna try to push my luck then end up on the block list because I'm not one ah them." Zarina ranted about her crush while we sat at our lunch table. In this period It's her, me, and Felix. They sadly didn't include Genesis in this lunch period, hers is next.
"Then maybe you should just...I don't know." I replied.
"Exactly."
Our period ends in thirty minutes but there's really nothing in here to do so we usually talk for a bit then we go silent to our phones. My eyes wandered the lunchroom and there was absolutely nothing interesting going on in here.
"Guys I'm gonna go find something to do because being here and not doing shit is pretty boring." I said before standing up and exiting the lunch room. They only looked at me before resuming the endless scrolling on their phones.
I roamed the school hallways while earning the occasional glances from the school security guards. It's like they always have something to say about you not being where you're supposed to be but never wanna step in when there's a fight.
Eventually the bell rang meaning my lunch period was over and it was time to get to my next class. Although, I'm not going immediately, I contemplated skipping but i don't have the time to hear my parents mouth about why my attendance was marked absent plus it is the first day of the year.
When I got to class I went straight to my seat which was next to this guy who I consider somewhat of a friend. I've talked to him a decent amount of times and i have a few classes with him throughout the years.
We have some moments where we decide to tell each other random things that we'd be experiencing at the moment. The thing that I really appreciate about him is that he's not a loud mouth.
"What's up Dylan? it's been a minute. How've you been, man?" I said gaining his attention.
He gave me a head nod and smiled, "Yoo Angel, it has been a while, I've been decent just ready to get this last year over with. What about you?
"I've been good just trying to make it through."
He nodded, then returned to looking at his phone screen. I took mine out and went on Instagram. I posted something on my story, basically complaining how boring the first week has already been. The teacher was introducing a new assignment, but I didn't pay much attention because i allowed myself to zone out a bit.
Since I got bored of the assignment I decided to tell Dylan about the guy from the skating rink. He was shocked to say the least, nowadays people don't really approach you in public. Especially if they don't know you swing that way. After a bit of conversation we went back to doing our own thing.
