Nikki's pov
I stared at the familiar wooden doors of the dark moon pack house. The house of my mate. Oh God. Could I really do this? Could I face him and the pack after what I had done? Ignoring my better judgement, I push the door open and poke my head inside to see if anyone was around. Empty. Thank God. While I was coming home, I'm not quite ready to see the people who used to call me Luna. I walk up the familiar stairs, memories flooding my mind with every step I take. So much has changed since I left. All I can hope is that he hasn't. I walk into the room I know to be his and pray he isn't there, it'll give some time to get my head on straight before I see him. I open the door to see him, sitting at his desk, working. Literally NOTHING has changed since I left 5 years ago. "Jamie?" I whisper nervously. He looks up at me confused, "Nikki?" He says hope filling his eyes for a second before they go cold.
"What do you want?" He says coldly.
"I need you, Jamie. I'm so scared. I messed up and I don't know what to do." I whimper trying to hold in my tears. Damn hormones.
His eyes soften and he stands up. "Come here, baby. Everything will be okay. I'm so glad your back." He says pulling me into his warm, comforting embrace. I push my face into his chest and sniff in his unique scent. He kisses my hair and pulls me into his lap. "What's wrong, kitten? Did someone hurt you?" He rushes, starting to panic.
"No. I'm fine. That's not the problem." I take a deep breath and look away.
"I'm pregnant."
