The movie was long over, and with Peter heading to his respective bedroom, Tony and Steve had begun getting themselves ready for bed. August was lying in the middle of their king sized bed snoozing away.
The plan was for Auggy to sleep in their room the first few nights, since they have a bassinet in there, and they want to make sure he adjusts well. Once Steve and Tony were in nothing but pajama bottoms, Steve gently moved August to the bassinet set up on the back wall of the room opposite of the door.
He slept on the right side of the bed so he wanted their precious little one to be closest to him. He wanted Tony to get as much sleep as possible because of his past sleeping habits.
Tony had August's blanket ready so as soon as Steve had laid him down, Tony tucked the boy in and placed his stuffed rabbit with him. One final check to make sure August had his binky, and the couple quietly got cozy and cuddled close in their bed.
Steve let out a sigh.
"Night one with our little boy."
"The first of many"
Tony nuzzled close to Steve with his eyes closed and a smile on his lips.
Steve kissed Tony's nose as he closed his eyes. They fell asleep quickly after being quite exhausted from the excitement of today.

2:32 AM
That's when Auggy had unintentionally decided there was an issue that need to be fixed ASAP.
The loud cries filled the large master bedroom and had Steve and Tony shoot up from their sleep. They both rushed to the bassinet cooing and hushing their precious angel. A slew of "shhh shh shh" and "what's all the fuss for?" And many pet names were used as Steve picked up August and instantly started rocking him. Tony was standing at his side looking over his little boy and placing his paci back in his mouth.
August's large green eyes were red and filled with tears but his cries had quieted down to hiccups. He looked between his daddies and grabbed his blue blanket that was still covering his body in his fists. Steve pats the boys bottom and instantly knew the problem as the boys diaper squished. August fussed and kicked his feet at the feeling. Steve and Tony shared a look and Tony was out the door to get the changing supplies they'd need.
Steve hushed and rocked August as he sat in the edge of his and Tony's bed. He bounced his leg and that caused a relaxing vibration for Auggy. His eyes droop and his breathing evens out by the time Tony is back in the room with the changing mat, a diaper, wipes and baby powder. He set up the make shift changing station to the left of his husband. Steve slowly laid the sleepy little down on the mat, earning him a few whines that quickly subsided as Steve ran his fingers through the boys hair.
Tony pushed the blanket up to August's stomach and began unbuttoning the Winnie the Pooh sleeper from the bottom. He then did the same for the boys plain yellow onesie worn under it. The diaper underneath was defiantly full. The poor boy smelled terrible and the squishy diaper had to be unpleasant. Tony winced as he made sure to get everything out of the way so there's no worry about mess getting on the boys comfy pj's. Steve gave him a sympathetic look.
"It's ok. Daddy got fist dirty diaper duty. I got this." He said with a yawn. He prepared himself for the worst and tried to make this as quick as possible. August didn't even fuss till he felt the wipes. He kicked out a little and his face scrunched up in discomfort. Steve quickly hushed the boy and kissed his puffy cheeks while he ran his fingers through his hair. Tony was done in an instant and didn't complain once, trying to show Steve he could handle the harder parts of being the daddy on duty. Steve started to redress the now asleep August while Tony got rid of the nasty diaper and put away the changing supplies. Once the two were settled back in bed after putting Auggy back in his bassinet, they both sighed.
"First poopy diaper change."
Steve huffed as he closed his eyes.
"First of many."
Tony replied snuggling into Steve's side.
"Thank you for getting that. I'll do the next one."
Steve sleepily muttered his promise before the two drifted back to sleep.

Steve was the first one up in the morning . 7:48 AM. A bit late for him but the early morning wake up call had a hand in that. He stretched as he strolled over to the bassinet. He looked his new little boy over, seeing Auggy sleeping on his tummy with his binky still bobbing between his lips. Steve ran his fingers through August's soft blond hair. August instantly nuzzled into his papa's touch with a coo.
They sat like that for a moment before Steve finally pulled away, and made his way to the kitchen to start on breakfast.
Peter was second awake, coming into the kitchen with his thumb in his mouth, dark blue pj bottoms on, and his hair stuck up in every direction. Steve was at the stove as he made scrambled eggs, his back towards the kitchen entrance. Peters eyes instantly shot wide open and his thumb was quickly being rubbed in his pant leg. Steve perked up hearing the shuffling. Damned enhanced hearing. He turned to look at the noice and smiled warmly at Peter.
"Pretty early kid." He comments as he glances at his eggs.
Peter looks at the floor, fiddling with his pants drawstring. "I smelt food." He responds with his stomach growling after. Steve turns off his burner and wipes his hands on the small hand towel that was tucked into the side of his navy blue sweatpants. "Have a seat, Pete. Just got done with the eggs"
They chatted amongst themselves about training starting at 9, and some different techniques. Steve even joked about not beating Peter too badly since the kid had to be rusty. They joked back and forth till a loud yawn from down the hall had them both looking at the doorway.
In strolled a tired looking Tony, with his hair a mess and a dark red robe covering his shoulders but leaving his chest and stomach exposed as he didn't even bother tying it. On his hip was a babbling little Auggy, in his plain yellow onesie with a pair of baby keys in his mouth and he was holding them tight with both hands. Tony tiredly smiled at the other two men as he sat August in his highchair. August was in his own world, giggling and kicking his feet a little. Tony instantly made himself coffee as he checked the time. 8:42 AM
"Shouldn't you two go get ready?" Tony asked through a yawn, scooping up some eggs onto a plate for him and August to share. Steve muttered a shoot under his breath and quickly cleaned up his breakfast mess with Peter quickly following suit. They both dashed to their respective rooms to get washed up and changed into work out clothes
Tony chuckled as he turned his attention back to August, who was now grabbing for the plate of eggs, still chewing on his baby keys.
Steve and Peter made it back to the kitchen about ten minutes later to tell Tony they'd be back later, with Steve kissing his husband then kissing his little boy on the forehead. And just like that they were gone.
August was done eating by this time as he'd gotten full and disinterested in Tony offering him bites.
"Well I guess you're done." Tony shrugged, taking the bite he had offered August for himself. He cleaned up breakfast while Auggy babbled and rattled his keys about. "Now, ready to get dressed with daddy?" Tony asked rhetorically in a babying tone as he scooped August into his arms. August snuggled into Tony's bare chest and gurgled in response. Tony brought the two of them to August's nursery, placing the little boy on his changing table. August kicked and giggled while looking up at Tony with a big smile.
Tony could get used to this. A nice happy baby in the morning, the sweet giggles. He couldn't be happier. He blew a raspberry on August's tummy before heading to the closet to pick him out an outfit for the day. They were just going to meet up with Fury so it didn't really matter, but Tony being the man he is wants his little one to look adorable for every occasion.
In the closet he started to go through the hanging up onesies when he came across the perfect casual outfit. A black onesie with white trim, and a pair of grey jogger sweatpants. He'd even dress himself in something just as casual. He strode back to his giggling baby with the outfit in his hand and dug in one of the changing table drawers for a pair of black socks. Tony sat the outfit aside and began to undress Auggy. His diaper was still dry from his morning change, so all Tony did was take his yellow onesie and put it in the laundry basket. He then quickly dressed August before he could even fuss and picked him up while covering his face with kisses. August was laughing loudly and snuggling back into his daddy's chest.
Tony thought of how he was gonna shower while keeping August out of trouble. He couldn't just leave him alone. As if a lightbulb went off in his head he decided he had a brilliant idea. He walked to the living room with August still nestled in his arms and sat him in the playpen, that still had some toys in it. August giggled and grabbed a rattle, instantly playing with it. Tony then began to push the playpen to his bedroom, thank god's for the wheels that were on it. August wasn't even paying attention as he was laying and playing with his toy.
Tony took a moment to make sure Auggy was calm, then grabbed himself clothes out of his dresser. An old band t-shirt, some dark blue jeans, socks and a pair of boxers.
"Friday, let me know if he so much as sneezes." Tony said aloud as he made his way to the joined bathroom of the master bedroom.
After a quick 7 minute shower, Tony was out of the bathroom, dressed and hair dried. August hadn't even known he'd left but once he saw his daddy standing over him, he was ecstatic. Tony bent down and picked him up with a load of coos following. August didn't know why Tony was so happy but he guessed he should be happy too.

Meanwhile on the training floor, Steve and Peter had just warmed up while chatting.
"It's great you and Tony found a little." Peter spoke trying to keep up the conversation.
Steve sighed with a smile. "It's amazing. I've missed taking care of someone."
Peter nodded in understanding. Peter had originally tested as a neutral when he was 15. If he had known how close he was on the cusp of being a little, it would connect a lot of the things happening here lately. His thumb sucking and very occasional bed wetting would defiantly be concern to get retested, but he was practically in denial. Why would he want to stress everyone out with a new little in the tower? Sure he'd thought about how it would be as Steve and Tony's little boy, but those were just what if's. Nothing more.
Once he and the Captain were throughly stretched, cap began going over some basics with him.

Tony made it to Fury's floor of the tower going undetected by the other avengers and with a fully packed diaper bag for Auggy. He was greeted by Nick standing in front of the elevator doors. August squealed and reached for the familiar eyepatch wearing man and Tony graciously handed the smaller boy over. Nick cooed and bounced August with a big smile before he sighed content.
"I thought you were a neutral." Tony said with a smile and a raised eyebrow.
"I am. I can be caring without being a caregiver." Nick explained as he lead Tony to the couch and sat with August in his lap, chewing on his fingers. Tony instantly replaced them with his paci that was clipped to his onesie.
"I just assumed you were a heartless cyclops." Tony chuckled.
"Not when it comes to this little ray of sunshine." Nick cooed and nuzzled his nose against August's, earning him giggles in response. Tony just stared on in disbelief. The man who never even snickers at Tony's hilarious comments, is basically melting into a puddle over August.
"I got some toys if you wanna go play while I talk with your daddy." Nick coos as he points to some cars and blocks he had set up just a few feet away from the couch.

Tony watched as Nick sat August down cautiously, making sure he wouldn't fuss. August was too busy looking at his new toys to really care about being sat down. He made quick work to crawl and plant his bottom down to start building with the mega blocks.
Tony and Nick watched him for a moment before Nick finally interjected.
"So, you noticed the scares last night?"
Tony turned his attention to him.
"Yeah during bath time. Scared me and Steve half to death but he didn't even seem fazed by them."
Nick signed and looked at his lap. "He used to have wings, you know."

That left Tony in a bit of a shock.
And there was a pause in the conversation.

"You-" Tony started
"You mean those giant scars, they used to be wings? He was born with wings?"
He just couldn't believe it. He'd never seen that before.
Nick nods slowly.
"He lost them when he was 5. His mom was holding him because he wouldn't stop crying, then his father ran a red light. They got t-boned. They all survived, but on reflex August had shielded him and his mother with his wings. He had the worst of the impact and was in the hospital for weeks."
Tony sat and pondered.
"So he was born with his powers... he's a mutant."
He finally spoke. He doesn't have anything against mutants, but he knows the rest of the world can have a more hateful way of looking at them.
"That's right." Nick confirmed as he kept his eye on the little boy playing. "That means I'll have to contact Professor Xavier."
Tony looked at him stone faced.
"Why?"
"Because he's more educated on the matter. He could help August with his powers better than any of us, Tony." Nick reasoned.
And Tony knew he was right.
He frowned watching his little boy push cars on the carpet.
