Can I Be Him? (On-Going)

Prologue

"Bakit ka pa nan'dito?"

I push the door open and saw Theo's busy silhouette pacing back and forth— from the teacher's table to the book cabinet.

He stop for a moment. A slight wrinkle is evident in between of his brows.

"Akala ko umuwi na kayo?" He paused, put the book down, before he looks at my side. "Hindi ka sumama sa kanila pauwi?"

I nod my head, feeling a little nervous. I pursed my lips before heaving a sigh, "Theo," I called.

"Oh? May need ka sa'kin beh?" His body is now leaning at the teacher's table, letting his left hand getting the support he needed.

I look at his face. Still the same, ang baklang nag aambisyong maging babae.

At the thought of what i wanted to say, I suddenly had a headache. Oh, please.

I pursed my lips harder as i play with my attached fingers, "Theo, how about going out with me?"

Tumaas ang natural niyang makapal na kilay, "Saan?"

Natahimik ako, he's too dense for a gay is he? Itutuloy ko ba 'to?

"What? Saan nga? You're not going to kidnap me like the last time right, bakla? I mean, duh, u should've just sabi na we're meeting your kuya pala na sobrang yummy and so gwapings, I'm going naman willingly ano."

At his statement napatawa ako, unti. My lips lifted and so the tension of my body.

Naglakad ako papunta sa kanya habang pailing na tinitigan ang postura niyang sumisigaw ng katamaran.

"Boba, hindi. What i mean kasi, how about dating me?"

"Eh?!"

"Hindi ka naman na ikakrassback ng crush mong snobber eh."

"Sakit nun ah. Below the belt na yun."

"Eh, sa totoo naman."

After I got on his side, silence invade us for a minute longer.

The clouds are now painted with orange-pink color while the sun sets  at the corner. It should be around 5 pm now.

"Even if I'm... Gay?"

Napabalik ako ng tingin sa ngayo'y katabi ko, his brows express worries.

Tumingin lang ako sa mukha niya, he's naturally born with a manly feature, kaya nga siguro naging bakla siya. He said he fell in love with his appearance. What a narcissist. Sayang kagwapohan tapos di magpapalahi.

I nod, "Yeah, even If."
