Balto's POV

I was sitting on the edge of the boat staring into the horizon. I was deep in thought, well, with only one topic in mind.

"And what is so interesting?" Boris' voice stares me. I sigh out loud in content.

"Skye,"

"Is love." Boris finishes the statement for me, but not saying the thing I would have wanted.

"So go make move." He whispers towards my ear.

"When the angels' balalaikas strum the sweet song of love, mambo!" He says as he starts dancing.

"Nah, she's not my type." I say, subtly looking away from him.

"And why not? This wolf business again? What's being wrong with half and half, I'd know. She's half and half, and doesn't really seem to care much about it at all." Boris says moving closer towards me.

"Sometimes I wish like crazy, I was half eagle." He states

"Why?" I chuckle in response, seems like a strange hybrid to be.

"Better profile for one thing, hmm.. And no one eats you for another." 

I just chuckled at his response and remembered his words about Skye earlier.

Maybe I will go and meet with Skye tonight...

Skye's POV

I finally made it back to town, nightfall just approaching. I look through the city streets trying to see if I can find Jenna anywhere.

Once I pass by the hospital I see her there, her red fur coat not clashing with the white snow and brown buildings of Alaska.

"Jenna!" I say excitedly as I walk towards her, but the look on her face when she turned around worried me.

"Jenna, what's going on?" I say quickly as I glance through the window she's at, seeing Rosy inside.

Why is Rosy in the hospital?! She was 100% fine before I left, did something happen when I was gone? Did I somehow ruin somebody else's life-

Rosy coughing drew me away from my thoughts. Jenna started barking to get their attention.

"Jenna?" Rosy questions when she looked out the window. "Jenna! Skye! Girls!" She starts yelling as she goes to the door, Jenna and I running along with her.

"Skye, Jenna! Hi girls."
Rosy greets us when she's made it outside. We run in circles until she starts coughing again, making everyone halt their actions. Jenna goes up to her and nudges her with her snout, but Rosy's father comes out of the hospital with a coat. He looked at both me and Jenna, and he started glaring daggers into my eyes once he saw me.

Guess I'll have to wait a few more hours for him to like me again, ha.

"Rosy! Rosy, come on. You're gonna catch death out here." Her father says as he puts the coat on rosy and leads her back inside.

"Ok, Dad." She says weakly as she walks back inside the building.

"Come on, the doctor's waiting." He softly says to her as then make their way through the hospital.

Me and Jenna then jump onto a crate nearby to look inside another window. What we saw was truly a disheartening sight.

The hospital was full of sick kids, all of them coughing and just looking terrible.

What is going on? Why are all the kids sick...
