"W-who are you? How do you know my name?" I said trying to sound brave but failed.
"Let's just say, I'm a family friend, eh?
"Now what am I going to with you?" He ran a hand down the side of my face.
Please. Please don't kill me. I haven't backpacked through Europe yet or eaten gelato at The Leaning Tower of Pisa! But most of all, I want one last chance to tell my loved ones that I love them. I wanted one last chance to pretend to enjoy my mothers horrible cooking. I just wanted more. More experiences, more chances.
The creepmonster's phone began beeping. his hand dropped from my face and went to his back pocket to get his phone.
He stood up and began listening to someone on the other end. He left the room but just before the door closed and probably locked I got my hand between.
Thank god.
It looked like I was in a tunnel, judging from the grey circular shape of the roof and sides.
I began running to the left. This passage seem to be going on and on and there was no sign of an exit. I now regret coming this way, I was probably heading to a dead end or going in a circle!
Suddenly the wall opened and a large figure emerged. The figures strong arm snaked it's way around my waist and pulled me into the wall with them.
I was now in a dark room, a utility room maybe, I don't know. But I do know I was scared. Scared of the creepmonster, scared of this tunnel, and scared of this mysterious person.
I screamed but the persons hand closed over my mouth, muffling them.
"Hey! Hey, shut up!" a low male voice half whispered, half yelled at me. I stopped screaming.
"Now can I remove my hand or are you going to keep screaming?"
I could now see the man's face. He was ruggedly handsome. His jet black hair fell on his sweaty forehead. He had sharp brown eyes that seem to see into my soul. I felt vulnerable under his stare.
"So? Are you going to scream again or not?", he cautiously removed his hand from my mouth.
"Now come on", he turned on his heels and headed toward the right corner of the dark room.
"No" I said, angling my head upwards and squaring my shoulders, attempting to seem confident and brave.
He turned around so he was only, just illuminated by the only light, if you can call it that, in the room.
"What did you say to me?" he said lowering his voice.
"I s-said, no"
Damn it! My voice cracked!
He chuckled. Before I knew it, he was across the room and grabbing my upper arm, pulling me along with him.
I tried to get free, but he was too strong. He stopped and I realised there was a rusty, old steel ladder in front of us.
"Ladies first" he gestured for me to climb.
I hesitated. Why should I do what he says? I mean, I don't know him, nor do I trust him but then again he may be leading me to safety or help.
"Who are you?" I asked, turning around to face him.
"Climb" was all he said, or stated actually.
"Tell me who you are and what you are doing saving me and I may climb" I said, mustering up what little courage I have left.
"Climb or I'll make you climb" he took a step closer to me.
Just now I realised how tall he was. He was towering over my 5'7 frame. So he must be at least 6'2.
His glare was as if he was staring right through me. He grabbed me by the waist and pushed me toward the ladder, and up.
"Okay, okay, I'll climb" I muttered, sulky like a 7 year old.
At the top of the ladder was ground. Literally just ground. I was in a forest. Where was I? Where did the creepmonster take me?
