When Guanshan wakes up in the late afternoon, he feels like actual crap. Granted, his headache is now completely gone and his skin doesn't feel like it's on fire. His stomach was a different story, sending a shooting pain through his whole body, almost as if someone had taken a knife to it. He lets go of the pillow in his arms and turns on his back. Right away, he can spot the signs that He Tian has been moving around the penthouse. The lights have been lifted up, and the door to the balcony is now wide open. There's also a glass of water, a sandwich and some pills on the bedside table. And at that moment, he realizes how incredibly thirsty he is.

Reaching for the glass of water, he spots a shadow coming from the balcony. He Tian must be out smoking. And he is right when his head pops inside. "I'll be right there. Let me just finish this cigarrete," He Tian says, keeping his voice down and taking a puff from it. Guanshan has constantly complained about the disgusting smell whenever he smokes. Over the last few years, he did stop smoking around him, but he was still a very active smoker. It was a filthy habit that was hard to get rid of, and He Tian wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon.

He takes a sip of the water and instantly feels a tiny bit better. He doesn't touch the food though, feeling as if he wouldn't be able to stomach it. He will leave it for later, being grateful for He Tian's attempt at making food. It is definitely not the best sandwich he has ever laid his eyes on, but with He Tian's very limited cooking skills, Guanshan is rather impressed. To be honest, he wouldn't be surprised if he found burned water in a pot.

Guanshan watches He Tian walked back inside, putting some cologne on to hide the smell of the cigarrete smoke. He leaves the balcony door open, letting the cool breeze in, and slowly makes his way to his bed. "You talk in your sleep. Like, a lot." He sits on the other end of the bed, grabbing a fistful of the sheets. Guanshan doesn't know if He Tian is way too nervous to be around him or is holding himself back. Guanshan may not have gone through a heat before, but he knows everything about it thanks to his mother. She warned him multiple times that unless he was planning a serious future with the other person, he should stay clear of any Alphas. They are unpredictable and, as much as they pretend to have their shit together, they are able to snap at any minute with an Omega in heat around them. It's their instincts. Fucking Alpha idiots.

"I stayed away mostly. I did rub my wrist on your neck once. "You looked miserable, and it helped," He Tian says, fists clenched, shifting around on the bed. "You were sweating and moving around a lot. I didn't do anything else." Guanshan sees on He Tian's face that he is holding a lot of tension on his shoulders. He gulps and moves back against the headboard, bringing his knees close to his chest. When he presses his back against it, he feels how wet with sweat He Tian's shirt is. At this point, his scent is completely gone and mostly smells like nothing. Once again, he wonders what his pheromones smell like to He Tian. He wonders if it's easy or hard for him to stay away.

"Will you take me home?" Guanshan asks, his hand tapping on his own knee. He has a strong need to crawl into his bed and surround himself with all of his pillows and blankets. He Tian finally looks at him and, after a minute, reluctantly nods. "I can take you now since you're feeling somewhat better. I don't want to risk waiting around."

"Kicking me out right away so you can rub one out, Chicken dick? Thought you would at least make me dinner first," Guanshan jokes around, trying to ease the atmosphere. He Tian chuckles.

"Of course. You know, that's my only intention in life, little Mo." His shoulders visibly relax and a smile appears on his face. Guanshan can tell that this whole situation is a lot for He Tian. And as much as he tries to keep calm, he's still an Alpha. Any other guy would already be on top of him, ripping his clothes off. He's grateful for it. For He Tian's patience.
