Hi there!
Thank you for choosing to read this story. You should probably know, in case you missed it, that this novel is a retelling of the 1998 motion picture, Practical Magic, and that the film is a reimagining of the book series by Alice Hoffman (both I highly recommend by the way :D )
However, with that said, you do not need to be familiar with either work in order to read this story. As many retellings do, I've taken the creative liberty to change some things.
You might notice that the original sisters, Sally and Gillian, have been renamed Silver and Ginger (also called Ginny).
I've also changed "Sally's" hair color from dark brown to white but have kept "Gillian's" red hair.
And the last major change is the setting/time period. I've created my own small town, inspired by Salem.
You'll also notice that I've made the characters younger so that they're still in high school. Silver is finishing her senior year while Ginger is completing her Sophomore year.
Heads Up/ Warnings: This book fits in the Young Adult /Paranormal genres. There will be profanity, "fade to black" type steamy romance, and typical teenage melodrama. I am very much inspired by other popular cultural movies/tv shows such as Teen Wolf, Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and Sabrina (Netflix), so you may see some of these influences pop up. With that said, there will be mentions of abuse to align with the Practical Magic plot so please read at your own discretion.
And now for the Mood Boards. I used a lot of images on Pinterest and Canva.
SETTING: THE TOWN
THE LEGAL GUARDIANS
MAIN CHARACTER
MC'S YOUNGER SISTER
MC'S LOVE INTEREST
And now on to the story!
I am open to all feedback to help make the story better, especially if you're familiar with the movie/books!
I hope that you enjoy :D
