The door opened and Cheryl's eyes met with the person behind the door. "Cheryl?!" The woman said. It was Cheryl's good friend, Kadie, more commonly known as "That Vegan Teacher".
"Hey, Kadie haha." Cheryl chuckled nervously.
"Cheryl, why didn't you tell me you were visiting? It's cold, come inside." She said, motioning her hand inside the house. "Would you like an apple?"Cheryl used to live with Kadie for as long as her old soul could remember. She didn't move out until her and Quran started dating.
"I'm good, thank you." Cheryl responded. Cheryl wished that she could see Kadie more often. She brought a sense of comfort to her. Unlike her online persona, Cheryl had always been quiet and had trouble expressing herself. However, whenever Kadie was around, she felt warm, no matter how snowy and cold the weather outside was.
"Cheryl, Cheryl!" Kadie said.
"H-huh?" Cheryl replied, dumbfounded.
"Were you even listen to me?!" Kadie questioned.
"Uh..."
Kadie sighed. "I asked what you were doing here. It's not that I mind that you're visiting, it's just that it was a bit sudden y'know."
Cheryl sunk in her seat and then told Kadie what happened. "I'm so stupid, Kadie! I have nowhere to go now." Cheryl groaned.
Kadie's eyes widened in surprise, but then her shocked look turned into a warm smile. The smile that Cheryl loved, the one that gave her comfort, strength, and warmth. "Don't say that Cheryl, you did the right thing." She reassured her.
"I know but, but, where am I supposed to stay?!"
"Cheryl." Kadie dropped her warm smile and it turned into an annoyed frown.
"W-what?!"
"You're kidding right?"
"About what?!"
"Having nowhere to stay." Cheryl blinked a few times and stared at the table. Then suddenly, she thought of a brilliant idea that absolutely NO ONE would think of.
"Hey Kadie, do you mind if I could stay with you for a bit?" Cheryl asked.
"Do I mind? Do I mind?!"
"Uh... you sound like you do?" Cheryl said shakily.
"Cheryl, you're a dumbass." Kadie sighed.
"What! I just asked if I could stay with you for a bit."
"Cheryl? DID YOU ACTUALLY THINK I WOULD MIND IF YOU'D STAY HERE?!?! YOU LIVED WITH ME IN THIS VERY HOUSE FOR OVER 40 YEARS!"
"Oh yeah."
"You know what, you're sleeping in the garage."
"Kadie!" Cheryl whined. Kadie laughed and playfully pushed her arm.
