Lizzie wakes up in a hospital's morgue, naked and confused. She looks around, no one is on this floor. She closes her eyes and listens; whispering, crying, and eating. Lizzie opens her eyes, Hope was right Lizzie does suck at being a vampire. She can never concentrate on one thing.

Wait, why is she in a hospital's morgue? She had just been fighting Ken. She's a heretic why would they bring her here? She needs to find Hope or her dad. Anyone really. She needs to get outta wherever she is. It's not like she can fake a heartbeat. Even if she could how does she explain being dead for however long she had been dead for.

Lizzie drags herself out of the cold metal table. She needs to feed as soon as she can. Her hunger is clouding her judgment. She needs clothes, she looks around but can't find anything not even a white coat. She hears the door open and hides behind it. A man and a woman walk in, they're morticians or that's what Lizzie thinks.

They're talking about a body found in the forest, Lizzie asumes she's the body they're talking about. Both morticians freeze at the realization of her body missing. They try to make their way back out the room but Lizzie is faster and knocks them both out. She's tempted to drain them dry but she's reminds herself she's not a monster. Thirsty or not she needs to keep a leveled head.

She steals the man's lab coat. It's bigger than the woman's who is a lot more petite than Lizzie. She takes a little blood from each of them, just to keep her hunger at bay. She gives them some of her blood to heal their necks. She nervously makes her way to the elevator. Once at the main floor she makes her way towards the first fire exit she sees. Success.

Lizzie walks out, thankfully it's night time. She starts to panic, she doesn't recognize anything. This hospital is foreign to her. She thought maybe she didn't recognize the inside but would the outside. She has no idea where she is. She needs to ask someone what town or city this is. A woman passes by and Lizzie decides to ask her, she can't do compelling. She sucks at it.

"Excuse me, where are we?" Lizzie asks as casually as she can.

"Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital. Do you need help?" She's dressed in scrubs. Doctor? Maybe.

"No I'm waiting for my ride." Lizzie puts on her best smile despite her panic rising.

"Are you sure? You look like a mess, no offense." The woman steps back but still has a warm smile.

"I don't have anywhere to go." Lizzie confesses in shame.

"I'm Melissa, Melissa McCall. You can hang out with me on my shift. I'll get you some clothes."

"Really?" Lizzie says hopefully. She should feel suspicious but can't.

"Yeah, you hungry?" Melissa asks guiding Lizzie back to the hospital.

"No, not really." Liar.

Melissa keeps her promise and gets Lizzie some clothes. Thankfully she washes them in the hospital washing room. Nothing special a gray long sleeve shirt and lacrosse shorts. Lizzie mostly watches TV and Melissa checks on her once in a while. Finally after about four hours Lizzie accepts food. She eats it and makes conversation with Melissa. It's Melissa's lunch break.

Apparently Melissa is about to retire in a couple of months. She has a son named Scott (from her first marriage) and her current husband is named Chris. Her son lives with his wife (Mary or Martha or something). She's pregnant (with their second kid). They don't live in Beacon Hills anymore but are planning on coming back two months before the baby is due. They want their kids to be born in Beacon Hills.

Lizzie doesn't lie exactly. She tells Melissa she has a twin who she hasn't seen in a while. She tells her she used to go to a boarding school for talented kids. She's luck she can sing and act or else that would backfire later. She tells Melissa her parents are always busy. She also informs Melissa she's trying to find herself so she left home after graduating school.
