Chapter one
Stumbling.▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Walking throughout the busy streets of Ropponggi with a paper bag of what looked to be filled with bread, he adjusted his tie and continued to briskly walk towards the bustling crowd.
Nanami Kento seemed to have a heavy heart to leave as he desired to wander around for more items that he could buy for himself as a treat.
The man had just finished an exhausting mission alongside Gojo Satoru regarding of a Grade One curse user last night, in result of having to dispose of the cursed body.
Safe to say it was another shit day of his as a shaman.
Taking a swift turn, he was met with more crowded areas. Alas, this was a city he was in. There was really no one to blame.
The blonde haired man walked forward without much thought, trying to reach the location where Ijichi had promised to pick him up at.
Like stepping on an upturned needle among haystacks, Nanami's body immediately tensed up and goosebumps started to form.
Though subtle, those brown eyes under his glasses rapidly switched areas to scan for some sort of an unseen creature.
Perhaps a better word, Nanami was somehow alert by a sudden spike of cursed energy.
—Uncontrollably spreading around in a generous radius of the streets.
By each people passing, there was no sign of the owner. No abnormal curses crawling and lurking, no shady sorcerers smugly smiling and seeping among the crowd.
However, there was one girl who leisurely passed by the businessman with shopping bags in her hand, completely free of worries as they passed eachother in a blink of an eye.
And at that moment, the Grade One sorcerer had found the main target.
He stopped his tracks in the bustling crowd and followed her figure. It seemed like the woman was more of a teenager rather an adult—looking at the amounts of trendy shopping bags that was clutched in her hands.
Nanami isn't stupid. Of course he's more brains than brawn, but he knew she was nothing but a civilian. And even if it's subtle, he's taken more precautions into not letting the mysterious girl out of his sight.
As he noticed those sacred emblems dangling on both sides of her ears. Shining and glazed, thin gold streaks complimenting the plant-like hue of the said item.
