Masons POV

I walked slowly to the nurse's office, bleeding and bruised, trying not to let the tears leak.
Why am I so weak? I cant defend myself. I get picked on and beat up almost every day for years and I haven't ever been able to do a single thing about it.
I found myself wishing for some sort of magic so I could finally be stronger, and stick up for myself. Then I chuckled quietly. There's no such thing as magic.
I entered the nurse's office.
"Hello, dearie." The kindly older nurse greeted me warmly, despite the fact I was in here constantly. "Ryder again?"
"Yeah..." I admitted, sitting down on the little cot and letting out a long sigh. She patted my shoulder and started dressing my cuts.
"You need to learn how to defend yourself. You're a good boy and you don't deserve this." She said sternly. I sighed.
"Yeah, I know..." My eyelids began to feel heavy. I laid down and fell asleep almost instantly.

  2 Hours Later

I slowly opened my eyes. The nurse was gently shaking me.
"The bell already rang, Mason. You need to go." ,
"Okay.." I said groggily. I picked up my forest-themed backpack and got into my truck. I don't want to take this anymore. Maybe I should just.. leave. And go far away. In the middle of nowhere.. a thought came to me. "Gravity Falls...!" Of course. I spent a summer there once. It's kind of hazy but I think it was pretty nice.
My mind was immediately made up. I'm going back to gravity falls. I started up my truck and drove to my house.
My dad was at work so I didn't have to rush. I packed a few bags with clothes and stuff, wrote a note, and headed off to Gravity Falls.

Several Hours Later

"Disco girlll, comin throughhhh, that girl is youuu!!" I sang along with the song at full blast. Finally, I saw it. The sign. My phone beeped again. Another call from dad. I swiped it off and drove down towards the mystery shack. I'm so excited to see everyone again! I sang along some more as I started to pull into the parking lot. "Disco girrr- oh my god!" There was a deer right in front of my car. I swerved to the left to avoid it and ended up falling down a little cliff and hitting a tree. Everything went black.
