Pain.

All I felt was pain.

As the strange woman bit into my neck, all I could think is "am I really going to die in sweatpants? In a castle of all places?"

The pleadings of help around me died out as I heard a shrill high pitched scream. What I didn't know, is that the scream came from me. Or that it caught the attention of a silent king. Suddenly, the king wasn't so silent.

"CHELSEA STOP."

And that was the last thing I heard before I slipped into nothingness.

--

The entire room was silent as the usually quiet and stoic leader of vampires bellows for the guard to stop. The bright golden strings attaching and splitting off into 9 stunning the man. Slowly he reaches for his brothers hand. Aro frowns at the shakiness of his hand but takes it.

Taking immediate action, Aro picks up the girl and orders a few others to follow him. Everyone else stands still, confused on what's going on and were never ordered to carry on. Humans were still alive, barely but still. One of the few that were ordered to follow, slowed down to point to the bodies, "Finish up. Make sure none turn." She ordered before speeding off to the infirmary.

"Master." She bowed. "Jane." Aro greeted as he laid the human down. Her heart beat was extremely slow before it ceased altogether. "What's going on?" A blonde man and his wife asked, rushing into the room.

Suddenly a heavy, painful pressure laid in everyone's undead hearts as Octavia Irene Nicoli breathed for the last time.
