Heart Of The Sea (PotC universe)

It was a day like any other, Hugo was reading a book; in the house's library. They like to read books about pirates, especially about the legends. They knew pirates were real, their father and his people encountered them countless times. But for some reason Mr. Swann didn't let his child sail with him, to see the ocean's full potential.

But today Hugo wanted to change that.

They we're already old enough to sail with safety, with no one having to look out for them. So that's why now Hugo was walking through the halls and to their father's office, where, unsurprisingly, he was sitting in.

"Father."

The governor looked up, a gentle smile on his face.

"Yes, Hugo?"

"I want to sail out with you. On your next trip."

Father's smile faltered, sighing.

"Hugo-"

"I know, father- But I can take care of myself now! I'm nearly 16-"

Father's fist met the wooden table, a thud cutting off trail of Hugo's words. They looked at the governor, heart beating quicker, anxiousness shown in their eyes. Silence filled the room, for few minutes; none of them dared to speak a word. Until Mr. Swann broke it.

"Alright.. alright, I get it. Goodness, you're so similar to your mother."

Hugo's shoulders fell, more relaxed, they thought they'd get yelled at for asking it.. again.

"You may go with me, I know I can't keep hiding you from the world."

His child smiled, a big, toothy grin. He's never seen them so happy. And on the other side of the office, Hugo couldn't believe it was true, their father actually agreed! It was incredible!

"We're going tomorrow. I have to make a pact with Singapore and we have to sail there few days before."

Today was the day they and their father get ready to sail out. They were excited out of their mind. Hugo barely would leave the house, let alone be near ocean. So it was completely new experience for them.

But the most exciting thing was, most likely, pirates.Heartless people that take everything for granted.

"Come on, Hugo! We don't have all day."

Their father called, they were about to go to the docks. Hugo grabbed their belongings, hurrying to the front door; where the governor stood, waiting for his child.

"Ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be."

Hugo smiled, following their father out of the house and onto the streets; they couldn't wait to get onto the ship! It's going to be such an adventure for them.

They got on, in awe of how it looks. The deck, the sails, everything.

"You like it?"

Hugo looked at Mr. Swann, eyes wide and sparkling with happiness.

"Are you kidding me? Of course I like it! It's so awesome-"

"Governor, orders?"

Commander came up to the governor, he didn't care that he and his kid were having a talk. Father said what he said and the commander walked off, telling the orders to others. Hugo scoffed, looking away.

"Didn't he see we were talking?"

"You're a guest here, Hugo. He's just doing his work."
