'Jimin? are you ok?' Taehyung asked,  looking worriedly over at Jimin who had sat down heavily at the mountain-top and was now breathing rapidly.
Jimin flashed a smile and a thumbs up, still trying to catch his breath.
'I knew this wasn't a good idea', Namjoon muttered, sharing a concerned glance with Taehyung.
'I'm fine, this was my idea, unless you want me to die without completing my bucket list?' Jimin said, standing up to join the two boys.

He spoke so casually about his own death- he'd come to terms with it now.  After being diagnosed with cancer, with a tumour too big to get rid of completely, Jimin, with the help of his best friends, Namjoon and Taehyung, had started to compile a bucket list of things he wanted to do before he passed away. They were nearly finished now, with mountain climbing being the last thing on the list.
well, except for one thing, in small writing, scribbled out after Jimin felt hopeless not too long ago.

'Meet Ash'

Ash. She was a childhood friend of Jimin's. They'd done everything together, for years they'd felt bulletproof against the cruel world as long as they were together. That is until, she moved to Tokyo.
Having only been kids at the time, they had been unable to keep in touch with each other, and hadn't seen each other for years.
Jimin still remembered her though, and one of the last things he'd said as they shared a tearful goodbye.

'You and I- our most beautiful moment is yet to come.'

It was like a promise of sorts. A promise that one day they would meet again, and more beautiful memories were waiting to be created.

Suddenly, a scream sounded out from over the edge, knocking everyone out of their thoughts.
Rushing over, they saw a young woman, who'd somehow fallen and was now clinging desperately to a ledge, any place for her feet too far away.
Upon seeing the boys she began to cry for help, to which Namjoon responded by pushing Jimin and Taehyung back, ordering Taehyung to take hold of his legs as he lay on his stomach to pull the girl up.

Soon the girl was pulled up, where she collapsed on the grass into a relieved Namjoons arms, thanking him numerous times.
When she sat up and pushed her hair out of her face, Jimin got his first proper look at her.

'Ash?' he let out in a gasp, his eyes quickly threatening tears.

'J-JIMIN' she cried out, rushing into his arms.
'I thought I'd never see you again, I missed you so much.' She whispered, her head buried into his neck.

Jimin held her tight and turned to look at Namjoon and Taehyung who were watching fondly.
'The lists complete' he said softly, smiling down at Ash.

'List? what list?' Ash looked up confused.
Jimin waved to Taehyung as he stood up, inviting him to explain to Ash as they made their way back down the mountain.

...

By the time they'd made it to the bottom, Ash was sobbing and refusing to part with Jimin for even a few seconds.
'It's ok', he said gently, patting her head as she buried it into his chest.

Then she felt his body go limp, his head fell on to her shoulder, and she was the only thing keeping him upright.
She screamed for the boys who quickly ran to them, Namjoon rushing to Jimins side, laying him gently in his lap while Taehyung desperately tried to call an ambulance.

...

By the time the ambulance had arrived, Jimin had managed to regain consciousness. Ash watched as he beckoned Taehyung and Namjoon, whispering something to which they responded to with a quick nod and whisper back, each with tearful expressions.
Then he turned and saw Ash, waving her over with a slightly shaking hand.
She leant down next to him and he whispered weakly in her ear, something she'd kept in her heart for years.

'You and I- our most beautiful moment is yet to come.'

...

Jimin died in hospital a few days later, surrounded by his family and friends. Even in his last hours, he assured everyone he was happy and content with how he'd lived, and urged everyone to take care of themselves after he was gone.
On his last day, Ash was alone with him, when she recalled what he'd said to her. The thought of not being able to make those promised memories broke her heart, and she leant close to Jimin, holding his hand gently and whispering.

'We were each others most beautiful moment'

Those very words were engraved on Jimin's grave, which Ash visited every day. She moved back from Tokyo, to be closer to Jimin, setting out to make more memories, for the two of them, knowing Jimin was watching from above.

Yea so this is basically what I wrote for my English gcse💀
