Riley's POV:
I get home and immediately go into my room to start this. If this is gonna work the way I want it to, I need to plan this now. I quickly get out my journal and dig out the Audrey Hepburn poster, my 1989 record, my record player, and my Mac. I put my Mac down on the floor with me and started searching for sunrise times in New York. 6:15 am. Perfect. Then I search for secreted getaways in New York. I look at the clock, it reads 8:15.
~At 10:00~
It's 10:00, my mom will be here soon to tell me to sleep. I pick up all my papers and stick them in the closet and grab my shopping list and my to-do list. And slipped them in my pocket. Then I sneak into my bed with my hoodie on, all ready to go. When my mom knocks on the door. "Come in!" I yell at the door. And she peeks in the door and says, "Hi sweetie! Have a good night. Love you." "Love you too. Night." I say as she closes the door. I pull out my phone and set a vibrating alarm for 12:00am. And then I lay my head down and sleep for the remaining 2 hours.
~At 12:00~
*buzz buzz buzz* my alarm is going off. I grab my phone and stop it. I slowly look through the bottom of the door. No lights. Good. My parents are asleep. I walk over to Auggie's bed and tell him "I'll be back soon bud. See you in the morning." and he gives me and hug. I walk over to the window and open it and carefully exit and close the window back up and wave goodbye to Auggie. He waves back. I walk over to Lucas' bay window and start knocking on it. He turned over but remained sleeping. So I opened it myself and climbed in. He immediately woke up.
