Hello, Kawakami-San! (◡
) I hope your
Friday evening has been spent relaxing, instead
of overworking yourself to death! (
゚ω゚; ) Me
and Midoriya-Kun are planning on going shopping
tomorrow. We anxiously hope you'll
join us! It would be so much fun! Please say
yes! ₍

FROM: Uraraka

Uraraka's message successfully distracts you from your read – a heavy tomb of Japanese Mythology and Folklore you had been devouring for the past two hours – and you sigh. No, you were not relaxing; you were selling charms and thanking the visitors for their donations before making dinner and lastly almost falling asleep once you finished the first page on Ameonna. You are almost certain it's her voice you heard before the downpour started. The rain spirit, as it turns out, is quite a trickster. Could she have heard you somehow? She did manage to stop a fight from breaking out...

You admitted this much to your grandfather. You figured he'd finally sit you down and explain the sudden development of your powers, but he merely shook his head. "Patience," he said matter-o-fact, "is a virtue, (Name). All in due time."

A small smile spreads on your lips at her proposition. A week at U.A. flew by quickly, mainly because you had been so busy. A trip to the shopping mall sounds amazing, especially with her and Midoriya keeping you company. But your responsibilities to the Shrine, not to mention the pile of homework you had not even touched due Monday prevent you from getting excited. With another heavy sigh, you text her as much, trying not to sound as dejected as you feel. Just when you're about to go back to Ameonna, another message pops up.

KAWAKAMI-SAN! щ('Д'щ;) You are putting
too much pressure on yourself! This is not
healthy!!! Please let me and Midoriya-Kun
help!!!
(≧ ) We're both EXTREMELY
worried!!! How about we come over tomorrow and
help you clean or something! We're both unsure
what entails taking care of a Shrine, but we will
not accept NO as an answer!
FROM: Uraraka

Touched by her enthusiasm (and slightly frightened), you try to type out that no, you're fine, and that they shouldn't waste their weekend stuck with you when they should be having fun at the mall, but before you even manage to finish the sentence, Uraraka simply texts you: WE WILL BE AT THE SHRINE AT 11 A.M. SHARP!

You feel like crying. Warmth swells in your chest, happy tears pooling at the corners of your eyes and you quickly wipe them away before they can escape. Biting down a grin, you relent. Her only response is an array of happy emojis and hearts.

–morning

"Kawakami-Sa—Kyaaa! You look so cute!"

You nearly drop your basket full of charms as slim arms cage your own and pull you closer. Uraraka's beaming smile greets you at a full 1000 wats. You manage to mumble an embarrassed hello before your eyes trail to Midoriya, who, heaving and sweaty, stands hunched. The climb must've taken a lot out of him. You don't blame him – it's a particularly hot day. Other visitors – men, women, and children, -- briefly glance at Uraraka before returning to their prayers. Children run amok, holding blessed amulets and comparing colours. Midoriya, finally, lifts his head and waves.

"Sakayama is so pretty, it's a shame I've never had the chance to visit before..." Uararaka mumbles before letting you go, twirling a strand of her hair, "Musutafu is just...bleehhh in comparison." Now that you can agree with, "So! What are our fist duties as Shrine assistants-in-training?" She chirps happily.
