It's a mellow day finishing up the last batches of hardworked pastries. My hands white and patchy from the flour, streaks of edibles can be seen on my apron and tired features. The dough would sping back softly from my firm kneading. I've assuming Aryan has reached the neighbouring states by now. With nothing but a clear slate a fresh new beginning. Oh how i envy him but i dont plan on regreting that decision one bit. I could earn it all back in time and once i do, oh what such fun adventure would it be! I wouldn't abandon this domicile of mine, this special place will always fill me with fondness in my heart.

I hear the door bell chiming signalling a customer has entered. Still hidden in the kitchen finishing up, i could here the customer's steps on the hard wood floor presumably looking around for a worker. With haste i walked back towards the front.

I stop midway to be met with a tall hooded black figure, his face concealed met with a mask, his orbs unseen with his hood. I walked towards the cleaned counter and said,

"Yes hello! Anything you'd like?" My hands leaning against the counter to hide my tense stature. I've seen countless people walk in my bakery, all of the sorts so its no surprise anymore. But this. This doesn't feel right. My instincts were screaming at me to stay away from this man, my stomach filled with an ill feeling not helping me in the slightest.

A pause can be heard, even more and it would turn to an akward painful silence.

"Just one scone please. How much will that be miss..?"
The cloaked man uttered asking for my name, in a surprisingly kind and calm voice. Most different from his outer appearance. 'How shameful of me. Judging a man based on appearance.'

Silently scolding myself i answered the man's question "No misses needed sir! Please call me (Y/N). I don't think I've ever seen you before. Are you new here sir?"

"No most definitely not, Im not one to like such pastires yet i couldn't help but be curious hearing such word's from the people about your shop." He said with an amused chuckle. Yet it sounded so sinister. Dangerous even. All the more making me feel tense than ever. But a customer's a customer i shouldn't be complaining now.

"Well i hope they were good thoughts. A- Anyway that will be 5 gui- "

"Quite." He said in such a stone cold way. So abrubt, completely opposite to the way he acted seconds ago.

I flinched not only because the sudden interruption but the sudden changed facade. It was so alarming. Now just irritated it hasn't been too long since they opened shop this morning either.

"Excuse me? What did you just say?" I said my hands clenched thinking i must've heard wrong.

The man said nothing the air felt so suffocating so tense. He slowlt brought his face close to mine i could feel his hot breath, our nose almost touching. If anymore closer we would've kissed. But what hold me in such a trance, was his eyes. Now on eye level i can see the most alluring gold-like eye's, its as if im staring at the suns very bejeweled treasures. 'There so beautiful'

"You buffoon. Acting so senseless. -

As if someone slapped me in the face my earlier trance abruptly stopped by the sudden statement from the man. Now confused more than anything, thinking on countless thing's ive done for him to say such a thing. My confusion was most likely shown in my expression making him continue on.

- I know what you did miss (Y/N). So thoughtful of you. My, such a kind hearted women.." His complimentary words sounded so satrical. He gently grabbed a strand of my hair caressing it between his gloved fingers.

"You're quite adorable (Y/N). Did you know i heard the king gives treason to thoes who help the indept people.." He said with such a maniac like expression my strand of hair still in between his hand. I froze. This man. He knows. The King knows. This must be an assassin, sent by the king himself to do his blood work. There's no other answer to it, Then that also means they caught Aryan, they must've torture him for answer's. No matter. Right now my death we'll soon be unfold if i don't chose my card's right. With as much steadiness i can maintain i said,

"Unhand me sir. You come in my shop, saying such words just to torment me for your own desire! I know what i did was wrong in the eye's of the law. But my own morality says other wise. -

Im disappointed. To think this is what they do to people with a lending hand to those who need most. Its so uncanny i can't wrap my head as to why. The man remain now expressionless his hand has stopped caressing my hair yet still in his grasps unmoving, unable to read nor see what he's thinking. This time in hope's to get it in his head more i moved closer, my hand touching his shoulder suprised by how daring my actions are. Im playing with what could be the last person i see before i perish. So with furtherance i moved towards his ear his hood still on. Unable to see his expression in this angle, something im really thankfull right now. I whispered in a breathy voice and said,

"Tell your King to come here himself if he so wishes to end my demise.."

A lion can lead a sheep, but a sheep cannot lead a lion. Such symbolism but so unfortunately exactly like the world we live in. They may try all they want to intimadate such prestige, but they are far more ruthless something we can't begin to comprehend. This is merely the begging of this dishevelled narrative and an ending is needed in this such historic events does it not?
