Part 1

MC'S POV

I got up from the chair I was sitting on, angry at myself for letting him go there in the first place. Deep down, I knew Richy was a man without a face but I didn't want to admit it to myself. Without a second thought, I took the car keys and headed to the front door knowing what my only goal was. Duskwood. And to save Jake. According to my calculations, it'll take me about 12 hours to get there. If I hurry.

I don't know how long it's been but all I know is that I saw a sign to Duskwood, I took a deep breath and I took my phone typing the address into the GPS looking for the mine where Jake was. After ten minutes I got there and parked outside. There were a couple of police cars, a couple of black cars, assuming they were from the FBI, and then I saw them. Jessy, Dan, Cleo, Lilly, Thomas and... Hannah. They were all standing there while two officers questioned them. The first person to see me was Dan, then Jessy.

"MC!" she yelled and ran towards me, hugging me hard.

"Heej, how's Hannah?" I asked anxiously and she looked at me.

"It's okay, she hasn't suffered any serious consequences"

"What about Jake?" I asked in a trembling voice, afraid to hear the answer.

"He... We honestly don't know. The FBI is still looking for him after Richy set fire at the mine" I interrupted her.

"He's what??" I screamed in shock. What if Jake was still in there? What if he didn't make it out in time? So many questions and not a single answer.

"yes, we don't know if Jake's in there..." I felt a tear slide down my face and I quickly wiped it off my face.

At that moment, my phone rang. I took it in my hands and I was relieved to see who it was. "Jake." I put my phone to my ear.

"Jake?" I said in whisper.

"Please help me" he said.

I didn't hear his voice anymore, I heard someone else.

"If you want to see your boyfriend come to this address" said a deep male voice and I immediately received a message that said the address of Jake's whereabouts. I didn't hesitate for a second and I headed to my car but someone stopped me. Jessy.

"What happened?" she asked me worriedly.

"It's all right, I just have to take care of something, I'll be back soon" knowing full well it was a lie and I turned around and left.

Jake's POV

As soon as MC told me the FBI was here, I knew I had to get out right away, or else I'd end up behind bars, and we don't want that. I walked out of that room heading in a direction I hadn't been before hoping it would get me somewhere. And I was right. At the very end, I saw a forest, the other end of the forest. I went outside and started running, not knowing where I was going, but I just had to get out of here. And at that moment I felt a sharp pain. I fainted.

I don't even know how long I've been gone but I woke up in some room that was very cold and dark. My hands were tied and I could feel blood running down my face. There was no one in the room but me and then I heard footsteps.

I immediately recognized the person who entered the room. Ace. I haven't seen him in years. I didn't even want to see him. Not after what he did to me. Even now I didn't know what he wanted from me and why he brought me here.

"What do you want from me?" I asked coldly and Ace just smiled.

"Is that how you greet an old friend?"

"You're not my friend!" I yelled. "I will ask you again: what do you want from me?" He smiled again, which annoyed me further.

"I'm here to finish the job I should have done a long time ago" I looked at him.

"You're planning to kill me?" now I laughed. "Go ahead"

"No, not you, I'm going to hurt someone you care about the most, and you and I both know who it is" my heart stopped. He meant the MC.

"If you touch her, I'll kill you" I yelled again and he just smiled.

"I called her while you were unconscious pretending to be you, and guess what? She's on her way here."

"No! I'll kill you if something happens to her! Do you hear me! I'm going to kill you! I yelled after him as he left that room. I can't let anything happen to her. I'd die for her.

MC'S POV

It took me 40 minutes to get to that location but I finally got here. It was an old factory located outside Duskwood. I got out of the car and took a deep breath. I knew this was a trap, but if it meant saving Jake, I'd walk right into it. I locked the car and headed to the door.
