☆ Zion's POV ☆
"What are you doing here, babe?" I asked Madison as she checked out the kitchen."Just wondering why I haven't seen you and the guys said that you might be here." She placed her eyes on me and wouldn't let look away.
"Did they tell you why I was here?"
"No, I couldn't care less. I just don't want you over here anymore." She inched over to me."you said I was the love of your life. If you truly love me than let's leave right now."
"I-um" I don't know why I felt so nervous. Her dad is a very big supporter of our band (definitely financially). I can't fuck the guys over like that.
But being with my daughter is more important right now.
"No madison."
"No?" She questioned. "We'll see about that 'babe'...have fun I guess" She walked out of the kitchen and walked out the door.
Im so fucked.
Madison is a very smart person but she puts on an act to appeal to the audience.
I should've just told her about Yasmine. That would've made her more understanding, now that I think about it.
"Ma you have to leave." I heard Jada whisper.
"I came here to see my grand baby." Her mom protested "instead you got some dead beat in here acting like y'all still together."
"Then take her with you ma!"
"Watch your tone girl. Just cause you got your own stuff, don't mean you can act like I ain't help you."
"We'll just take her. Ma cut it out." I heard Jayden chime in.
"Whatever y'all motherfuckers always gotta get you're way."
I walk into the living room and sit down in the farthest seat from her mom.
"You're lucky that I have time today. I don't wanna see you here anymore." She said to me as she packed her stuff up.
"Yes ma'am" I say
I've never had a good relationship with her mom. She always thought that I was gonna be some crack head and that I would never support her daughter.
She tried her best to break us up, so she could hook Jada up with someone's son.
I'll admit I was a bad boyfriend but I've grown so I would think she wouldn't hate me that much still.
Tara walked out the door and headed for the car. Jayden tried to grabbed all of Yasmine's stuff but I decided to help him out.
"Thanks man. Don't let her get to you. She's just upset that you left in the first place. That's understandable. But you're here now so make up for what you've missed." He said as we walked to the car.
"Yeah definitely" We placed everything in the trunk. I watched as Jada put a very sleepy Yasmine in the car.
"Now get out of my drive way" Jada laughed as she waved them goodbye.
"Mmhmm watch it girl." Tara said. She gave me a nasty look til they were fully out of the drive way.
We walked into the house and I headed to Jada's room. I grabbed my bag and started packing up the clothes that I've brought for this weekend.
"Where are you going?" I heard
Jada stood in the door way with her arms crossed.
"Home. I just figured that since Yas isn't here then I'll just let you be."
"You don't have to go. You can stay...only if you really want to."
"I mean sure." I saw this as an opportunity to catch up with her and find out more about Yas.
She walked over to me and pulled my arm.
"Let's go downstairs." She pulled me down the stairs and headed for the patio.
"I'll be back but make yourself at home." She said as she pushed me in the direction of the patio couches.
The sun was setting and the sound of cars from the neighboring highway filled my ears. The sun was slowly getting lower and lower.
She came back with some bottles and a box.
"I don't know what you drink but here." She said as she handed me a Hennessy bottle.
I watched as she open the box and pulled out a lighter.
"I already know you smoke." She laughed
I watched as she rolled, and lit. She took a hit and passed it to me.
A few passes were exchanged until I decided to make conversation.
"Im really fucking sorry"
"Talk about a way to kill the vibe" She laughed and took another hit. "I don't need an apology. It's been two year of doing this by my own...so I'm good."
"I mean that's fucked up of me. My bad."
"Caleb you've always been problematic. It's okay." Flashing me a cheeky smile. "I'm glad you've matured somewhat....now you gotta step up to your responsibilities."
☆ Time Skip - 3 hours ☆
We've been talking for hours. She's helped me catch up on what Yasmine is like and how I can help her out.
Jada was definitely high but she kept her composure.
"Alright Z I'm getting tired." Jada giggled as she got up from the couch.
We walked upstairs and made our way back to her bedroom. The lights were dim and the smell of vanilla hit my nose.
I sat on the bed as she went to the closet. She came back wearing a silk robe.
She crawled into bed and sat there scrolling through social media. I tried not to be creepy so I just copied her.
We sat there for minutes in utter silence, just the sound of thumbs tapping the glass screens and random laughing.
She placed her phone down and turned to me.
I watched as she slowly fell asleep. I turned off the lights and pulled her in for a hug.
Midnight thoughts of regret came creeping in and I couldn't help but just pull her in more.
