Chp. 1 - Just a normal day, maybe not

3rd person P.O.V

It all started when Y/n woke up to her alarm going off, "Good morning world" she said as she got up from her bed and opened the blinds to let the sunshine in, she rubbed the tiredness out of her eyes excited for what the world has to offer her today. She went to her wardrobe and took out her school uniform since today is the last day of school before summer vacations (according to Google Japanese schools have three semesters, separated by vacations. At most schools, summer vacation covers the 40-odd days from July 20 to August 31; winter and spring vacation both last around 10 days, from December 26 to around January 6 and March 25 to around April 5, respectively.), She went to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for school. After she finished getting ready and brushed her teeth, she went down stairs to see her mom preparing her school lunch, "Good morning mom, where's dad? Also why is aunt and uncle not here?" she said as she took a seat at the dining table looking at her breakfast, "Good morning honey, your dad took your brother to school and went to work after that, aunt and uncle went to buy groceries since we are running out of food after a few months of cooking." her mother told her while putting her lunch in a bento, "Oh, mom I'll go get my bag." she told her mom as she had already finished her breakfast, "Alright then, remember to bring your lunch!" her mom said as she placed her bento on the kitchen counter. After she went upstairs to take her school bag, she stuffed her bento into said bag, "I'm going to school now, see you after school mom!" she said sliding her school shoes on, "Have a nice day at school, hun!" her mom said from the kitchen, she walked out of their house and closed the door. She was  in the middle of walking to school, that was when she saw her 2 childhood friends not far away, "Yūki, Midori wait up!" Y/n shouted as she ran up to them, "Oh hey, Y/n! What do you think we should do in the summer vacation?" Yūki said as she walked along with them, "Hm... I don't quite know, how about you guys? Do you have any ideas?" Y/n asked them, "How about we go to the arcade that just opened up?" Midori suggested as she seem quite excited, "That is a great idea, we could also visit the newly opened bookstore near the arcade I heard that they sell  manga and manhwa" Yūki added with sparkles in her eyes, "Well, if we finish all our homework today we might be able to go there after school." Y/n said feeling ecstatic about the idea of hanging out with her 2 childhood friends. They walked to school together talking about what to do on summer vacations, when they got to their class there were a few people here and there since they were half an hour early. They went to their seats and chatted after putting their bags on their chairs (and after sitting down of course). The rest of the day was quite fun they managed to get no homework for summer vacation and finish their homework for the day just in time. Time passed quite fast since they were busy finishing their homework, but they finally finished their homework for the day. The school bell rang as Y/n and her friends were keeping their stuff, "Alright, class dismissed! I hope everyone has a nice summer vacation!" their math teacher said as everyone was rushing out the door, "See you after summer vacations, Ms. Suzuki. Have a great summer vacation." Y/n said to her as her friends waved goodbye to their math teacher, they walked out of school bounds happy that they don't have any school work. When they were in the middle of walking home together, Y/n felt something strange so she stopped for a moment, "Hm? What's wrong Y/n?" Midori asked with a worried look, "Something feels off.." Y/n mumbled loud enough for them to hear, "Wait.. Is it those moments when you can feel a wave of power?" Yūki asked, "yea.. and the power is very strong... Like a portal is about to open up or something.." Y/n said looking around on guard, then a portal suddenly appear in front of them, "Um... A strange portal just opened up what should we do?" Yūki asked Y/n cautious of the portal, "Ooo~ a portal.. Maybe we should go through it..." Midori said as she reached her hand through the portal, "Wait I don't think you should-" before Y/n could finish Midori accidentally fell through the portal, "Midori! We have to go get her Y/n!" Yūki said in a panicked tone, "Right!" Y/n said as they both went through the portal. When they went through the portal, they noticed they were in a airport and Midori was sitting on a bench. "Guys I think we're in the Anime dimension" She said as she looks around, "and we're in 'bungo stray dogs' , *sighs*  this is going to be chaotic.." Midori trails off, "Hm.. Our clothes won't do, let's change into kimonos to blend in a little.." Yūki suggested, "but they wear normal clothes here.." Y/n said, "But still kimonos are nice, plus it makes us look more formal" Yūki says, "Alright" Y/n said defeated, "but we are already in kimonos if you hadn't noticed" Midori said getting up and dusting off the dust on her kimono, "Oh" Y/n and Yūki said at the same time.
