20. The saviour

"Zhan Zhan, Why are you not eating? Is food not according to your liking?" Carman Lee asked when she saw the other playing with the veggies and rice.

"Ahh no aunty!" He immediately looked up and his voice turned low as he spoke further, "The food is nice. It's just, I am not really hungry" his gaze was downcasted as he fiddled his fingers together.

"Why? Are you feeling sick son?" This time Wang Qiren stood up from his seat and stroked his head in concern.

Xiao Zhan looked up and smiled, "I am not sick uncle, don't worry I will finish my food" he smiled widely and picked up his chopsticks again. Mr and Mrs. Wang smiled too and got busied in eating while zhan chewed the food with difficulty as he had no appetite. He don't know what was happening with him but he was feeling restless, maybe the dining table seemed a little empty today. He peered at Mr Wang before shifting his gaze towards Mrs Wang and hesitated for a few minutes before finally talking, "Yibo is working on that project since morning and he has not eaten too. I think we should call him for the food aunty? He might be hungry."

"Ahh don't worry about him son. He would eat later when he will feel hungry" Wang Qiren replied while putting tofu inside his mouth. In response, Zhan gave a small, helpless smile and his lips formed a little pout. Carman lee noticed the sudden change in zhan's expressions but held her laughter in. She took a plate and put another serving of food in it. She smiled and pushed the plate in front of Zhan as she spoke, "Zhan Zhan, Can you please take this to yibo later and make sure that he eats it? I am feeling too much tired otherwise I would have done it personally. If you are busy, I can ask someone to..."

Xiao Zhan listened to her carefully and cut her off in between, "No aunty, I will do it. Rather I will just eat with him ...uhh....to give him some company." He stood up in a hurry and put everything in a tray before heading towards yibo's study. He walked in fast steps making carman laugh.

"Honey, Why are you laughing? And why did he ran like that? Looks like his leg has got better now." Wang Qiren who was confused watching zhan almost running off with the tray, averted his attention to his wife when he heard her laughing but carman just shook her head and continued her laughter.

*Knock* *Knock*

Xiao Zhan stood in front of yibo's study with food in his hands. Holding the tray in one hand, he used the other to knock at the closed door till a faint 'Come In' was heard.

He went inside and approached yibo who was busy in working on the project which was going to be held next day. Fortunately, he got another chance and wouldn't want to waste it a bit, so he used the three day time to work harder. He was so immersed in his laptop that he didn't notice Zhan, who was now sitting beside him, the food tray was now kept at a nearby table.

"Impressive!" Xiao zhan remarked as he analysed the presentation. Wang yibo glanced beside him for a second before he continued whatever he was doing.

"Let's eat yibo! You are working since morning!" Xiao zhan hissed and grabbed the laptop from yibo's lap.

Wang yibo looked at him annoyedly and retorted, "Hey give it back! I am not done yet!"

"No! Not until you finish that" Zhan pointed at the tray while he stood up to take the laptop away.

"I said I don't wanna eat" shouted yibo which was more like a whine to the other.

"What are you? A toddler to act this stubborn?" Zhan chuckled and was about to take the food tray when he was slammed against the wall. He looked up and gasped when met with yibo's cold gaze. Despite being cold, the eyes seemed too deep and attractive just like an ocean. His heart thumped wildly as memories of their shared kiss flashed in his mind. He would be lying if he say  that he hadn't enjoyed it. The kiss was too hot, and the taste of other's lips was too addicting which explained why yibo was so famous among women.
