My throat started to close up, fill with water, the desperation to swim back up, the desperation to stay alive. The realization hit me a second too late, I had already jumped, I had already started to sink to the bottom of the swimming hole. The hallucinations of something saving me, something beautiful, is this what people mean when they say that their life flashed right before their eyes? Eventually I started to black out, and of course stopped fighting the water and continued sinking.

What now? Will I get to be at peace? See my dad? What now?

Well of course, life has to ruin everything. Even death, happiness, people. I have no family left, Ashley is dead to me, I'm dead to Carmen, and Micha is actually dead. I soon woke up on the rocks right by the swimming hole I had just been sinking in. As I started waking up I saw a figure in the water, blue and mystical, really beautiful. The scales were unique and glowed alongside the dragon's skin, before it returned to the depths of the swimming hole it looked at me and bowed its head. I started wondering what it meant. Eventually I had to start looking for a place to stay the night because my attempt to no longer stay alive was not successful. I started walking through the forest and continued walking until I stumbled upon an abandoned house, I knocked on the door and no one answered so I opened the door and walked inside the house.

"Hello? Anyone there?", I asked.

I soon heard footsteps, and a really fast figure rushed past me. Suddenly someone grabbed my shirt and pushed me against the wall.

"Who are you?", the girl who pushed me asked.

"My- my name is Abby. Abby Littman.", I said, as soon as I said that she let go of my shirt.

"Her father.", someone with an accent said.

"What about my father?", I asked.

"No- nothing.", the guy with the accent said.

"No! What is it about my father?!", I yelled.

"He's our father. Micha Littman is our father.", the girl said.

"What's your name?", I asked.

"He goes by the name Keith and I am Parriss.", Parriss introduced.

"A pleasure.", Keith held out his hand.

"Are you aware that he's dead?", I asked, soon seeing Keith's hand retreat back to his side.

"Are you aware that I'm alive?", Micha asked as he stood on the balcony of the second level.

I stood in shock, disbelief, everything I heard, everything I was told it was all a lie? I almost did something permanent because of something that I thought happened but didn't happen??

"How? This isn't real! I'm not here! I'm at the swimming hole drowning because you're dead!", I yelled as I ran towards the front doors, only to see that Micha got to them before me in a blink of an eye.

"It's really Abby. It's real.", he said.

"How-", my question was cut short by Keith.

"We're vampires, sister. And so is our dearly beloved father.", Parriss said as she walked towards Micha.

I looked at my father with deep confusion, "No! Paula called me to tell me someone murdered you! You were murdered! How are you alive?!", I yelled as I felt anger, was this all some sick game?

"Just sit down Abby, I'll explain everything soon.", he said.

I followed Keith and Parriss into the big living room and sat on the couch and waited for someone to explain what the hell was going on.
