Chapter 7

King pov: 

"I thought you weren't hungry" I heard Na'Kiya sweet little innocent voice come from behind me.

"I'm not, but I thought you might be" I said turning around smiling at her. She gave me a skeptical look but finally smiled back. She was beautiful forgiving helpful down and just everything I've been looking for in a girl for a good minute. Making her plate I sat it in front of her

"King...What is your real name?" Her question caught me off guard

"Why?" I shot back

"I don't like calling people by their street name" She stated nonchalantly stuffing her mouth with pancakes.

"King is my real name beautiful" I said starring down at her as she blushed. I loved the fact that my words had that type of affect .

"Now that you asked your question I have a few of my own"

"Mmmm Ok but first who taught you how to cook!!?!! Damn this is sooo good King" I chuckled]

"My momma. Now back to what I was saying-"

"Wait I'm sorry um...is...she um..." she trailed off not making eye contact I know she was trying to ask if my mom was dead without pissing me off

"No but she sick which we will get to sooner or later" she nodded her head

"Well ask whatever I'm an open book" I chuckled

"Why would someone want to kidnap you?" I asked. It wasn't supposed to be asked aloud but it was and she heard me

"Well I don't know I mean I'm nice to everyone except...." she trailed off like a light bulb went off in her head.

"Except what beautiful?" I asked reaching out grabbing her hand

"M-M-My ex...he..he cheated on me with this girl name Tatianna because he wanted another child but I can't have kids it's been that way since I was 14 and my-" she stopped mid-sentence and looked down at her plate I looked at her and watched as a tear rolled down her cheek and I don't know why it just pissed me off

"What happened?"

"On my 14th birthday my step-dad took my virginity from me and I was in the hospital because I lost so much blood and and he messed my insides up..." she started shaking her head "Kalis was there and I was in need of somebody so I believed everything that came out of his mouth he was the one to take me to the hospital my momma didn't believe me until the results then she said I was a hoe and just trying to take her man and she banned me from coming around my sisters and all. When I got out the hospital I lived with my grandmother and soon after me and Kalis started dating then when I turned 15 I decided I wanted to live with him I thought we were going to be together forever man. I got attached to his son like I pushed him out my damn self. Then the day before they took me he came home with this girl named Tatianna and she told me she was pregnant" she said crying harder That shit hurt if you looked at her and been around her you wouldn't think she been through that much shit but she has which is crazy her story had me mad sympathetic and just I don't know.
