Flying down the highway, no destination in site and the music blasting you screamed to your hearts content, passerby's looking at you with pity as you continued, that was until your truck engine began jerking and sputtering. It screeched to a halt on the brim of the highway, you got out, eyes swollen, and hands shaking and went to lift the steaming hood. As soon as you picked up the piece of steel a giant cloud of smoke engulfed you, "FUCK!" You slammed the hood back down and kicked it for good measure before sitting on the grass.

Crying even harder now, you pulled out your phone. 1 text and 36 missed calls, 20 from Luffy, 3 from Zoro, 10 from Sabo, and 3 from unknown. The text was from Ace, but you ignored it, you weren't ready to deal with it yet. Ignoring them all and pulling up your search engine you looked for local mechanics in your area. The closest one was a shady shop called E.K. Cars and Customs, the reviews were good enough, so you dialed the number.

"E.K. Cars and Customs, you break the shit, we fix the shit or whatever. What do ya need." The deep voice on the phone wasn't shocking to say the least. The reviews said that the owner was unprofessional but got the job done. "H-hello? Yeah, I was looking to get a tow." You cringed at your voice cracking, and he grunted bit but didn't comment on it. "Where ya at? I can give you an estimate once I get there." Of course, you were going to have to get the damn thing fixed but you two could talk about it once he picked you up, so you gave him your location. "You sure know a great place to breakdown." You could hear the sarcasm as he grumbled the remark, "I'll be there in thirty, just, I don't know, lock yourself in your car till I get there and don't talk to strangers." I scoffed at his remark but thanked him none the less, "Yeah, alright, not like my day could get any shittier." You let out a dry laugh which made him snicker over the phone before clearing his throat, "Yeah be there in a few."

You sat in the driver seat for what felt like forever, playing a dumb little game on your phone, watching it ring occasionally. That was until someone knocked on your window, causing you to scream at the looming figure in front of it. The shadow bent down, and his shimmering teeth you swore glowed in the dark, vermillion locks standing on end and goggles holding them in place. His tangerine eyes lit up in amusement at your fear. Your shaking hands reached for the taser in the glovebox, Grandpa didn't raise no bitch! They knocked again, and you snapped your head in their direction, they dialed your number and showed you, pointing at your phone for you to pick it up. So, your shaking hands grabbed it and did as the stranger directed, "As much fun as I'm having after having watched you piss your pants," He laughed before continuing, "I need you to pop your hood so I can check your truck." You let out air that you didn't even know you were holding in your lungs before pulling the lever to pop your hood and stepping out of the vehicle.

"You should have called, it's very unprofessional to scare your customers have to death." You snarked out watching him almost excitedly move things around your engine, "You know I wouldn't have had to scare my customer if she didn't sit and watch me call her for the last 15 minutes while I was parked behind her." His reply was dry while he continued to focus on the inner workings of the poor thing. "You're lucky this hunk of scrap metal got you this far. Where the hell did ya come from anyway? You stick out like a damn sore thumb."
