Nami wakes up and notices Ace is gon but thinks nothing of it since he usually gets up early to go for a quick run. She puts on her clothes and goes to the kitchen to make herself some coffee and goes outside to her mailbox to grab the newspaper after that she goes back inside grabs her coffee and sits down while reading the newspaper

Nami then drops her cup and it shatters as soon as it hits the ground

Nami: ahhhhhhhhhhh

Luffy and Sabo instantly run out of their room wondering what happened

Luffy: what's wrong

Nami has tears rolling down her eyes as Sabo asks

Sabo: Nami whats wrong

Nami: i-i-its A-Ace th-the Marines have g-g-got him a-and have s-s-scheduled an e-e-execution

Nami could no longer hold and as soon as she said that she cried just as hard as she did when arlong killed Bell-mère

Luffy: w-what no no way Ace would get caught

Luffy says as he freeze's Nami then hands the newspaper to Sabo who starts reading the article immediately

Sabo: "Even knowing that the Supernovas would never allow him to be killed The world government has decided that they will be publicly executing Portgas D. Ace also known as Fire Fist Ace and leader of the three Supernovas. It turns out that leader of the Blackbeard pirates
Marshall D. Teach defeated Fire Fist Ace in battle and turned him in exchange for becoming a warlord"

Sabo just stares at the newspaper with nothing but anger in his eyes as he then incinerates the newspaper

Luffy: BlackBeard...well we aren't just going to sit here and wait for him to be executed are we

Both Sabo and Nami look at Luffy

Luffy: we all know there are many people that are going to go and try to save Ace and you can guarantee that they are just as mad as we are

Both Sabo and Nami look towards Luffy realizing that he is right the three of them have made many allies and like Luffy said you can guarantee that they won't sit by and watch as their friend is murdered

Sabo: Luffy's right there are going to be a lot of people trying to save Ace... Luffy you know where we need to go right

Luffy: yup we need to go to Impel Down
