Our Little Secret ~•~

Midnight

I run away in panic from Kreed and  find my way to Ianna. I  turn left and right and there, she catches my eye. I see Ianna but not with Franiece but with Troy. They are sitting closely to each other staring deeply at each other. I slowly walk away. I run to class and see Chelatè on the way.
"Remember Madarin!"she barks at me. I look the other way and make my way to class, I feel hopeless and a tears rolls on cheek. My heart starts to pound heavily, I start to walk slower and slower. I push myself against the wall while oxygen starts to leave my system. I take off my tie which starts to strangle me alive, I hit the ground and it all goes black.

I open my eyes and everything is blurry and the first thing I see is the white ceiling. "Where.. I-I am I?" I ask. A woman with a tan skin and long brown skin with scrubs walks towards me.
"Hello, Arinia, I am Nurse Singh, the school nurse and your in the medical wing where at school."
"Oh, what happened to me?" I ask.
" You seemed to have a panic attack and over-stress must have made you faint" she responded.
"How did I get here though?"
"One of your classmates Indigo and young lad, Kees Gates carried you here."
"How long have I been out?"
"About three hours" she answers.
I put my hand on my forehead and mutter " Oof, I have headache!"
"Don't worry I've got some pain killers, stay right here!" Nurse Singh says while standing up, "Any ingredient in antibiotics you allergic to?"
"Umm..." I utter while I rub my head, " Yes, penicillin..."
"Right, okay" she says while unlocking a white cabinet full of medical drugs and supplies.
"Take this, it will make you feel better" Nurse Singh says while handing me bottles of water.
I put the pill in my mouth and chug the water bottle.
"Right, I think it's best if you go home" Nurse Singh advises.
"I think your right" I reply.
I slowly get up for the "hospital bed and and get my bag from the corner.
"Mrs Mick said your mom is on the way, it's anyways after school"Nurse Singh says. I nod at her while walking out the hospital wing.

The first people I see are Indigo and Ianna. I run and give them a hug.
"Are you okay Ari?" Ianna asks while holding me tight.
"Yes, it wasn't anything big" I say.
"Friend, you good?" Indigo asks in a concerned tone.
"Yea" I giggle. The two of them walk me with to the drop off area where Mom should be waiting for me. I see Kreed in the distance and realize it's after school. I leave Indigo and Ianna behind and walk to Kreed. The first thing I do is sprint to him and hug him.
"Thank you" I say over his shoulder with his neck that smells of his natural musk, it is pleasant.
"It's cool, you needed help" he replies.
I try smell at him.
"Is tomorrow cool?" He asks me.
"For....oh yeah... it is"I say.
He takes his finger and tilts my chin upwards and gazes at me. He smiled and whispers" Rest well, Goodwin" into my ear. After that he turns around and leave and I stay silent.
I walk to car and take my usual seat and mom drives me home.
"You know you pulled me out of brain tumor removal!" She comments while I walk into the house.
"Sorry..." I apologize.
"Don't apologize, I'm so happy! You saved me from a 10 hour surgery, I love my job but not that much" Mom giggles.
"When then, your welcome" I reply sarcastically.
"But really sweetie, what happened?" Mom asks me.
"Well this week was so overwhelming and with Walter and Dad...." I says as I broke down in tears. Mom comes to hug me," It's okay Arinia, I know everything this a big change but you will adapt eventually"
" I know Mom.." I shutter out while wiping the tears off my face. I give mom a hug and go to my room to take a nap.

A few hours later

The sound of phone ringing wakes me up. I get up from my bed with heavy and look through the window and it's dark. I take my phone to answer it.
"Hi, it's Ianna"
"Oh hi, I(eye)" I reply in a tired voice.
"Hey if your up for it, come join us on Sunday, we are just going out with friends to chill before Monday."
"Yeah, sure I'll be there"
"Great Ari, I know you will have a great time, anyways I'll talk with you later"
"Sure", I yawn out, "Talk later"
She drops the call and I decide to look at the time:
22:34
"Shit" I whisper out, " I have been out for almost 9 hours.
I get up and put on my black hoodie and walk down stairs to the kitchen. I look at the white marble counter and see a pizza box left unopened and a note on top of it:
Got you some pizza for when you wake up

I go back to my room with plate of three slices of margarita pizza and a glass of coke.

After some time I decide it's time to get ready of meet Chelatè at Central Park and find out what she "knows". "Can't be Walter...he-e-e gone" I whisper to myself. I get up and find long black sweatpants to match my hoodie, and shoes and walk out my bedroom door.

I softly walk across the house to get to the back door while holding me shoes in my left hand. I slowly open the door with my eyes closed and walk outside and quickly put on my shoes. I get my bicycle that was leaning on the wall. I get the gate remote and open it slightly to the size that my bike can fit. I hop on and peddle as fast as I can. I quickly glance at my watch: 23:52.
" I'm not too far" I whisper to myself.
My heart beats faster the close I get, but I would be lying if I am not feeling euphoric. There is a rush in me covered with all the fear and I am ready to face Chelatè.
It's dark and the street lights are dim, the Central Park garden looks lush and healthy. I drop my bike on ground and stand while leaning on the white fence.

I check the time: 00:03." Ugh, where are you Chelatè?" I shout out frustrated. I feel a tap on my shoulder. I swiftly turn around.
"Booo, I'm here bitch!"
