hi so this is a crazy concept isnt it. judgment and puyo puyo are starkly different series but hear me out ok.
my friends and i like to write together — especially when we're writing about our special interests and hyperfixations. we spread the things we enjoy to one another like diseases. and we decided a fun way to merge our love of writing together and our multiple favorite interests was to make a fun, lighthearted little literate roleplay campaign together where we took characters from our favorite games and tossed them into a single scenario together.
thus, characters from judgment — an action-adventure game about crime and morality and justice — and characters from puyo puyo tertis — a silly little puzzle game with little cartoon guys saving the world — as well as characters from various different shows and games that would otherwise never have any correlation whatsoever were tossed into a multidimensional adventure that loosely followed the plot of nintendo's miitopia, with a lot of fun original characters, twists, and plot changes made by my two best friends who orchestrated the whole thing. we now have a whole pantheon of interdimensional deities (all really well developed ocs!) connecting these wildly different medias together, creating some of the most batshit friendships literally ever.
like maya fey from ace attorney and hachi from mysterious joker. or shijima gou from kamen rider drive and kaito from magical kaito, or aerith gainsborough from final fantasy, beruka from fire emblem fates, and dimitri from fire emblem three houses.
but the crazy combination that im most attached to is yagami takayuki from judgment, his new found family from puyo puyo — namely marle, who's become his daughter, and ex, who's his best friend. like attached at the hip frequently-bought-together-do-not-separate best friend. we write those two together so much that its hard for us to believe that they've never actually met in any canon other than this really intricate au we've got going on.
the thing is, i love this relationship they have literally so much i could not stop thinking about how lost judgment would be different in the context of this au. so i started writing it for fun, and here we are :)
i don't really expect anyone to read this, let alone understand it or care about it. i'm mostly just posting it so all of the stuff ive written for it can be compiled in a way that's easier for me and my friends to access and navigate, but also at the same time. i want other people to know about them because they're literally so important to me. so i'm sorta holding this out and hoping that it'll maybe pique someone's interest, but mostly its to have it posted somewhere for connivence's sake — and also because im curious to see how others react to it.
at some point i intend to have a full, linear fic following the plot of lost judgment in the context of this au (so like, it'd still follow the plot of the game mostly but with the addition of a whole baby goddess being there which obviously changes how things would go down, and some other extra characters and scenes and stuff that are added due to the nature of the au itself), but right now im just writing sorta disconnected ficlits from different parts of the game and might try and sew them together later.
anyway thats all for the context i think? if you're not one of my friends and you read all that and are interested in reading more thank you for entertaining this crazy fucking concept i promise its fun <3 as a reward im giving you a little kiss as well as some screenshots from the roleplay campaign that were fun!
when they found out they had to fight god:
