Gravity Falls, Oregon
Stan Pines, the owner of the Mystery Shack, was showing his great-niece and great-nephew, Mabel and Dipper Pines respectively, some "newly made," "limited edition" figurines that he planned on selling to the tourists. One had the body of a turtle and the head of a blue jay and was wielding a katana, another had the body of a raccoon and head of a dragon wielding a bo staff, a third had the body of a duck and head of a krab wielding a pair of nunchaku, and a third had the body of a horse with two hoofs and the head of a lion wielding sai.
"I call them the ninja mutant brothers! Because they've got cool ninja weapons, and they're mutants, but somehow... they're ALL brothers!" Stan finished, proudly. "Huh? Huh?" He said.
"I... don't know what to say. It's cool I guess..." Dipper said.
"Ooh! Ooh! Can I make one suggestion?" Mabel said, raising her hand in a pink sweater that had a clock on it.
"Sure thing kid!" Stan said.
"What if... the four had like a master! With the body of a rat and the head of a red panda. With a cane!" Mabel suggested.
"Perfect! I like the way you think sweetie!" Stan said before going to make another "limited edition" figurine.
"Well, that was... something." Dipper said.
"Yeah, they could totally make a TV show or something off that! And maybe some movies." Mabel said.
"Hey, I could actually see that happening. Anything's possible." Dipper said.
"That honestly sounds like some cheesy 80s or 90s action movie." Wendy said, entering the shack and overhearing their conversation.
"Oh, hey Wendy!" Dipper said.
"Sup guys." Wendy said as she got behind the counter.
"But to be fair, what if you remade it. Like change it to where younger people could relate! You know, make it not cheesy." Mabel said.
"You mean reboots?" Dipper asked.
"Exactly." Mabel said.
"What could they possibly do to make that not seem cheesy? Make them super dark and have them kill people?" Wendy asked.
Dipper tries to deepen his voice. "I'm a mutant ninja. Because my voice is so deep, I show so much emotion and pain that I'm relatable." Dipper said.
Wendy and Mabel laughed.
"Hey dudes." Soos said, dancing to "Straight Blanchin' " again. "I couldn't help but hear that you guys are talking about reboots."
"Yep." Dipper said.
Soos takes off the earphones. "Dudes, you know what more networks and production companies should do? Finish the things that fans have been waiting for or come up with new ideas. Not saying reboots are bad or anything, because they can bring some really cool fresh takes that you'd never think of, but don't you hate it when you really like a show, movie or game and it ends on a cliffhanger, then it never comes back?" Soos asked.
"Yeah! I wanted to see the final season of Tween Giants so much! I really felt the connection in the relationships. And the drama between Atmos and Wild Girl, when Atmos joined but betrayed the team for Jade. There will always be Eagle for you Wild Girl." Mabel said, the last sentence being lower than the rest.
"Or what about The Mysterious Mondays? The last scene was literally a funeral. So many questions just... unanswered." Dipper said, putting his hands out in frustration.
