I landed on the beach, wiping the sand off my clothes. The warm ocean breeze filled my lungs as I took in the scene around myself. The bright energy on the Island was something I was familiar with. It was nostalgic, I was once The Monkey Kings best friend.

"Scratch that." I thought.

"We were never really friends to begin with, we're we?" I asked myself, still upset about Wukong's actions.

How could I not be upset? The man is not only selfish, but he's a greedy, narcissistic, dumbass. He never cared about anyone, I was a fool to think he cared about me.

I sighed, starting to make my way up the mountain. Once I reached the waterfall, I noticed a familiar face waiting beside it. His eyes peered up and me, and he immediately got up and waved with a smile. I first noticed his spiky dark hair, followed by his bright red bandanna. He had an orange hoodie with hints of red and cyan. Around his waist was a cyan belt, and he wore red pants and black shoes.

It was Mk.

"Macaque! Hey!" He signaled me to get closer.

I sighed, confused at what exactly he wanted. I walked over with a confused glare.

"So, what's going on here, Mk? What's so important that you brought me all the way here?" I asked.

He wrapped his arm around me. "Just wait and see!" He parted the glistening waterfall and practically dragged me in. We made our way inside, I already knew of the small cabin, so I presumed that was where we were going. I examined the cave, as we strolled through.

"Oh hell no."

I turned in front of me to see a familiar face. His annoyed expression was enough to make me angry. Of course the Great Monkey King, had to be home.

"You two are probably guessing why I brought Macaque here-"

We both shouted at him, obviously mad.

"Well...maybe you guys should...I dunno....get to know each other again.? I mean you both were friends right? There has to be a feeling, deep deep down in your hearts, that maybe you miss each other?"

I turned to Wukong with an furious expression. I noticed how his eyebrows softened. As if maybe, he wasn't as bad as I thought he was. I turned away quick, this is Wukong, I shouldn't forget that.

Wukong sighed and walked over to Mk. "Look bud, I appreciate the effort and all...but this isn't something we could just fix just like that." He snapped his fingers.

"Yeah, it's gonna take a lot for me to just get a long with that selfish idiot" I added.

"Oh, I hope that's not directed at me! Coming from the selfish idiot himself!" Wukong turned to me with disgust.

He stomped over to me and we both growled at each other.

"Hey-uh...let's calm down okay?" Mk pleaded with a worried expression.

Wukong looked to the kid and turned, making his way back to his cabin. We both stared at him as he did so, I guess that's settles it.

"I'm gonna go meditate, I don't care what you do Macaque, but I'm not in the mood to deal with you now." He spoke calmly.

"Deal with me?! Ugh!" I furrowed my eyebrows, turning back to the exit of the cave.

Mk looked at the two of us, his plan was falling apart.

"Hey- Macaque! I'm not letting you go until you two talk!" Mk stood in front if me with a determined expression.

I was shocked at first, but how could I forget, this was Mk. He's not gonna let me leave that easily.

I frowned. "Well at least get your terrible mentor to comply. It's not my fault he doesn't want to go along with this either." I placed my hands in my hip.

Mk pulled out his staff. "At least Monkey King isn't leaving, I just need you two to talk, that's all. Once you're both done, then you guys don't have to see each other ever again!" He explained.

"And how are we even supposed to talk?! He's doing his little meditation thing, that takes time, time I'd rather spend somewhere else. So I'm out." I pushed his face to the side and started walking.

I suddenly felt my hand get pulled. I immediately went into attack. Suddenly, the two of us started to fight. The cave was in chaos as both Mk and I were having an all out war. Wukong kept still, sitting down peacefully in meditation. Back and forth, I'd use my shadows, Mk would use his powers. It went on for a few minutes.

"Why won't you give him a chance?!" Mk shouted as he was pinned to the wall.

"He never gave me a chance." I gave him a fierce look, crushing his neck.

"Mac-aque! I- don't know- w-what happened- but- you can't keep- this- grudge forever!" He squeezed out, trying to fight back.

I bit my lip, the anger kept building up. He killed me, he betrayed me. It was him, not me, him.

"HE CAN'T DIE. So I'll make it my job to make him pay for ETERNITY!"

Mk's body suddenly burst with gold power. I flew back, surprised from the shock. The kid flew towards me and pushed me to the ground. However, I didn't fell the cold rugged ground. I felt a body, we landed on a person! But there was only one person left in the cave...

"Wukong?!"

All three of us stumbled onto the floor. I got up fairly quickly, just in case the kid would go for another blow. However, I saw him taking deep breaths, staring at the floor. I was pretty worn out, the kid had gotten stronger, but I wasn't exactly sure if that was good or bad. Mk turned up to me, he looked angry, but also confused.

Eventually he turned to Wukong. "Monkey King! You okay?!"

I stared at the two, I knew Wukong would get up. However for some reason, I felt the need to make sure. I saw his hand move, so I turned away and started to walk.

"It was fun, Mk. Maybe next time you can get one of us to comply." I spoke with a smile, closing my eyes as I did so.

I don't know what I was expecting next, but it definitely wasn't what happened.

"I recognize that emo haircut anywhere!" A familiar tone, yet from a much older voice.

I turned my head out of curiosity, but then The bright and joyful Monkey King quickly ran up to me and squeezed me tight.

"What's up Macaque!? I missed you buddy!" He looked up to me with a cheerful smile.

Mk and I were too stunned to speak.
