As we flew through the sky, I felt Wukong raise slightly.

"WOAH! WHAT IS THAT?!"

I turned to my left, noticing Megapolis appear from the horizon.

"Oh, right- that's civilization. All those villages and towns you're so used to? Yeah uh- this is kinda what most of them turned into." I spoke casually.

"I must've been out for while for things to be THIS different!" Wukong shouted in amazement.

I saw an old warehouse and assumed that nobody lived there. I pointed there and Wukong listened, placing his cloud right next to a window.

I jumped through the window and looked around.

"Nice place ya got here!" I heard Wukong say happily.

Thankfully I was correct that no one was there, cause now we could stay for the time being. The wood was a deep shade of red. Dust covered the ground, and shining cobwebs covered the corners and crevices. There were a few rooms on the floor we were on, so we entered the first two.

The first room was pretty big. It had a desk and chair on the left. The desk was decayed and messy, old papers covered the wood. The chair was intact, but it was clear that It wouldn't be for long. The rest of the room held bookshelves and old pots. A large couch sat at the opposite end of the room. This must've been an office building of some sort.

"I claim this room! You can get the smaller one if that's alright with you." Wukong jumped for joy, jumping in the old chair near a work desk.

I sighed, not exactly in the mood for Wukong's antics. I went over to the smaller room to see a similar looking desk and chair. This room was much neater, but still rundown. In this room, there was a small one seater couch next to a tiny side table with a few magazines on it.

I heard Wukong rush into the second room and jump on my back.

"Hey-"

"Wow this room sucks! Glad I took the other one! Haha!" He said nonchalantly, before taking off to the other rooms.

I followed, as Wukong excitedly ran around the place. He went through the halls, looking though the doorways. I decided to go downstairs, but it was just as confusing as upstairs. There were a bunch of hallways, all leading to similar looking rooms. That is until I came across the final doorway at the end of the hall.

There was an open room with a bunch of boxes. It seemed to be for storage. This would probably be the best place to plan. As I walked across the room, I heard the footsteps of an overwhelming Monkey.

"Nevermind! I call dibs on this room!-"

"It's for both of us Wukong."

"Oh-that's cool. I was just hoping maybe we could spar on it? Y'know like old times. When we used to fight over the smallest things."

I remained quiet.

"Old times, huh? How long has for you, since we've seen each other Wukong?" I thought.

The golden Monkey kept looking around. Suddenly, he pulled out a few pieces of hair and started making a home for himself. He created a beautiful decorated hammock. A golden red carpet followed underneath.

I heard the chimes and jingles of items appearing as I turned away to the floor. I took a deep breath, starting to plan out my next move. A few minutes went by before I sensed the idiot get closer and closer.

"What do you want Wukong?" I turned my head to the left, seeing the face of someone waiting for something.

"Can I decorate your room?" He muttered happily.

My eyebrow shifted up, confused at the question. "We have the same room, and I don't even need furniture."

"Cmon, you don't want a comfortable place to sleep at night? It's okay, I'll just make a bed for ya!"

I didn't protest, it wasn't that I didn't want something comfortable, but I had more pressing manners. Y'know like the one kid that could get Wukong back to normal. It's only a matter of time before Mk would start making his move. I needed to be quick.

As I was trying to think up and idea, Wukong's consistent muttering and annoying chimes kept me from focusing. It was as if I was building something and he kept toppling it over. I tried staying calm. I did not remember Wukong being this annoying, although we had the same amount of energy back then. I was probably just as bad.

"Sooo... what now?" He asked, poking my face.

I suddenly thought on that question.

"What now?" My mind wandered.

My goal was to get revenge on Wukong, right? So what now? He's back to how he was before, before he lost sight of friendship. At least I was pretty sure. So what do I do now? Mk won't stop until Wukong's back to normal. However, it's not like I wanna kill the kid.

I have my Wukong back. It almost feels like the best outcome for the two of us. What Mk said was true, we could have a fresh start.

Wukong and I could be friends again, but...

Is that really worth Mk's life?

"Hellooooooo." Wukong waved his hands in front of my face.

"Huh?" I snapped out of my thought and looked up to see the shade of a cloud and Wukong lookin down from it.

"What now, Macaque?"

"Well- I Don't know! Do whatever you want, I don't care."

Wukong backed off a bit, but almost immediately got his spirits back up.

"How about we go on a little trip?"

That got me interested.

"Trip?"

"I wanna see how much has changed over the years, and might as well cause some mischief while doing sooooo....." Wukong teased.

I smiled slightly, I wanted to focus more on Mk but I didn't want to loose Wukong's trust.

"Alright, alright. You win." I reluctantly got up.

Wukong's eyes lit up as he grabbed onto my hand. I wanted to jolt away, but I suffered in silence as I got dragged away by the energetic monkey.
