You might ask, who is my loved one?
Alexander. He won my heart. But the actions he had done,
Made him lose it again.
He was no longer the champion of my love and soul. Thinking he would be a forever one,
i was wrong.
Who knew one summer night,
Was my last with him?
A celebration for summer with mine and his friends.
Partying, drinks, desserts and dancing didnt end.
I saw Alexander on his phone, he kept smiling.
While i was on the dance floor, looking at him from afar while dancing.
He smiled continously, no stops.
His smiles were like raindrops that went on for hours.I shifted towards him. "What are you smiling at? I'm sure I didnt send you anything funny today did I?" i said.
He chuckled at me. "Nothing love, it's Kaylee. She sends me the funniest pickup lines." He kept on giggling, non-stop.
Kaylee.
A name i feared i would hear one day. And i heard it, just now.
Kaylee.
Alexander's previous partner. I thought they lost contact. I guess my nightmare has come true.
After hours, the party ended.
Alexander and I drove home.
Night drives are the best, especially if you are with someone you love.
I see Alexander's phone bursting with notifications.
It was going off. Every minute, second even, whilst we were in the car.
He looked at a few of the messages, and smiled brightly.
I've never seen you smile like that before Alexander?
Not with me.
I felt a bit upset. I continued staying silent in the drive.
As he continues smiling, i continue pondering into the night sky. You've never smiled so brightly tonight, not with me, ever.
My question is,
Why?
